1. What is Resistance Temperature Detector? Perform an experiment using RTD.

2. Define the term ‘positive temperature coefficient’ and conduct an experiment using the same
principle and record the output using CRO or DSO. Demonstrate the function and working of
DSO.

3. Derive the balanced condition of DC bridge circuit and determine the unknown resistance of a
given component using any DC bridges by performing the experiment.

4. What is meant by the unbalanced condition of a Wheatstone bridge? Design and determine the
current flowing through the galvanometer when the bridge is unbalanced using given
components.

5. What is meant by primary and secondary transducers? Perform an experiment using LVDT to
determine the force applied on unit area.

6. What is meant by Static characteristics and Dynamic characteristics of any sensor? Perform an
experiment using a thermocouple and determine the characteristics and plot the result.

7. Define dark current in the photodiode. Perform an experiment using a photodiode and plot a
graphical output of I-V characteristics. Determine the current in mA by changing the distance
between the source and photodiode to 1 cm, 2 cm and 3 cm.

output of I-V characteristics. Determine the current in mA by changing the distance between the
source and photodiode to 1 cm, 2 cm and 3 cm.

9. Conduct an experiment and calculate the current through a photodiode increases as the light
falling on the device increases. Demonstrate the function and working of DSO.

10. Conduct an experiment and calculate the current through a photo transistor increases as the light
falling on the device increases. Analyze the current through a phototransistor varies with varying
light.
