CLIMATE CRISIS SUMMARY

High-tech efforts to stop global warming like giant CO2 vacuum cleaners, miracle dusts on the
hoods of seaweed farms in Africa. All of this is very important because in 10 years it will be too
late, we humans created this problem and we must be careful how we combat this big problem.
Orca is one of the industrial methods (in Iceland) functioning like a vacuum cleaner that uses giant
collectors to filter carbon dioxide, this being the harmful greenhouse gas, causing the earth to
increase its temperature, having negative consequences with the cold areas and necessary for the
planet, this orca plant has collected approximately 4,000 tons of carbon dioxide per year,
equivalent to the greenhouse gas emissions of 360 people in Germany. The planet is emitting
around 36 billion tons of C02 per year, however, due to the little orca that is working, it is
expected to massively increase collection for the coming years, which is a very good start, but they
can only be built from these factories where there are volcanic stones and we should also not
depend on this only solution and continue emitting C02 into the atmosphere as we are doing, we
should have new renewable energies.

Another way to help combat CO2 is reforestation with approximately 2 giga tons per year. Another
possible solution is the “giant umbrella” method, which was an idea for the Pinatubo volcano that
erupted in 1991 in the Philippines, where many people died and the damage was enormous,
where the volcano expelled sulfur gas into the stratosphere, where it reacted with oxygen to form
tiny particles and finally formed a thin layer that reflected and blocked the sunlight, creating a kind
of giant shield, like an umbrella for the planet, however the big problem would be that by taking
the sulfur to the heavens they would move. by all the air currents and would affect us all, this
being the last resort that should be used.

Another method to reduce CO2 is the oceans, which currently collect ¼ of the current content,
however, when CO2 is stored in the ocean it can attack the animals and plants that live there, this
being one of the most powerful to reduce The co2. Another method allied with the oceans is
algae, which are much more efficient than harvesting from trees.

This problem that we have worldwide, several countries are united to solve the problem and that
is beautiful as humans who are working for the same purpose and each country contributing its
method to the solution. It must also be taken into account that preventing the production of CO2
is cheaper than removing it from the atmosphere since it counts 10 times more or even 20 times
more, so the solution is to be aware of which processes are emitting CO2 to stop producing them
since it is more obvious to get used to a new lifestyle that would help us all.
