Hungry Birds is an all-female-operated chicken snack company that aims to deliver

affordable and quality food right at your fingertips. Like any other business, Hungry Birds had
its fair share of challenges, trials, and errors. Entrepreneurship just isn’t it without risks, right?
What matters is that the lessons learned outweigh the setbacks encountered. Thus, the following
is the summary of Hungry Birds’ sales over the past week.

WEEK 1: 2,453 PHP

Day 1: May 15, 2023 – Monday Capital: 520 php

1 stick = 10 php Cost: 380 php
75 sticks = 750 php Thus, 520 – 380 = 140 php
TOTAL BALANCE: 750 + 140 = 890 php Remaining Balance: 140 php

Day 2: May 16, 2023 – Tuesday

1 stick = 10 php Cost: 356 php
87 sticks = 870 php Thus, 890 – 356 = 534 php
TOTAL BALANCE: 870 + 534 = 1,404 php Remaining Balance: 534 php

Day 3: May 17, 2023 – Wednesday

1 stick = 10 php Cost: 276 php
90 sticks = 900 php Thus, 1,404 – 276 = 1,128 php
TOTAL BALANCE: 1,128 + 900 = 2,028 php Remaining Balance: 1,128 php

Day 4: May 18, 2023 – Thursday

1 stick = 10 php Cost: 525 php
95 sticks = 950 php Thus, 2,028 – 525 = 1,503 php
TOTAL BALANCE: 1,503 + 950 = 2,453 php Remaining Balance: 1,503 php

 2,453 – 363 = 2,093 php

Since 2,453 php is the established total sales for the week, 363 php is deducted from it to
shoulder the cost of the following day of production. Therefore, the total amount subjected for
remittance is 2,093 php.

As to the remittance:
2,093 × 50% = 1,046.5 php

It has been agreed to have the 50% of the sales be proceeded to other causes. Thus,
1,046.5 php will remain for the young entrepreneurs. Each of the eight will have 130.8 php for
their labor and hard work for the week.

The past week was not as easy as they thought. They learned how to take risks, calculate
the possibilities, and dedicate themselves to earn back what they have exerted. From planning the
blueprint of the business and examining its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, to
the everyday labor and production, the simulation was not a mere application of all the learnings
in Entrepreneurship. Above all, it is also a test of cooperation and discipline – one that will
certainly be remembered.
