INFORMATION COLLECTION (CHECKS)

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) is mandated to collect, collate, store and
disseminate data and information needed by the public and stake holders to make informed
choices and decisions. The Commission also needs higher education data / information as basis
for policy instruction formulation, extension and research as well as for monitoring the higher
education sector's progress.

For AY 2023-2024 data collection, HEIs will send their Higher Education Data submissions
directly to CHEDRO-MIMAROPA using the existing CHECKs forms. There is no need to
access the CHECKs portal for this round of data collection. Data collection guidelines are
still based on CHED Memorandum Order No. 45, series of 2016 (Annex E).

The HEI President / Head should see to it that their institution submits the data on time and
certify to the completeness and correctness of the submission. HEIs that do not submit complete
data to CHED shall be excluded from the list of "Recognized Higher Education institutions"
posted at the CHED website. Likewise, researches and researchers will not be given access to
pertinent higher education data until said HEIs submit to CHED based on the prescribed data
collection (as per CMO 14 series 2014). Electronic (E-File) submission should be sent through
this link https://bitly.ws/Udy5 and physical submission to the CHEDRO Office (Hard copy and
Excel file saved via flash drive).
