    GOOD LABORATORY PRACTICE

    1.0 SCOPE
    This procedure is applicable to carry out daily/weekly/monthly cleaning in the
    Chemistry testing laboratory.

    2.0 RESPONSIBILITY

    2.1 Housekeeping personnel


    2.2 Checking: Chemist

    3.0 PROCEDURE

    3.1 Prepare required quantity of cleaning solution (cleaning solution make with distill
    Water) as per schedule mention below.

    3.2 Clean the entire Chemistry department using following equipment’s


    1. Floor mops
    2. Cloths & Sponge (non fiber shedding)
    3. Ceiling mop (non particles shedding)

    3.3 Following areas are to be cleaned.

    Daily: Floor, Wall & Platforms Area used with Dettol or germicidal solution.

    Weekly: Glass, Doors & Window Frames Clean with Colin solution.

    Monthly: Drawers under working tables and file section are clean with dry cotton cloth and
    also Switches, furniture clean with dry cotton cloth.

    3.4 Maintained cleaning record for chemistry laboratory.
