The Tisdale region, is located in the middle of the northern Anchorome

wilderness, with sprawling boreal forests,

sparkling lakes like Biggwater and rivers like the Great Mattagami River, and
towering mountain ranges like Mt. Jamieson.
Admidst the pristine wilderness lie pockets of human habitation, where the
resilient pioneers of Faerun have carved out a
life and indigenous tribes thrive. Tisdale District, home to Tisdale village,
Fredericktown, Porcupine village and many other
locations, lies in the heart of the region, serving as a beacon of civiliziation
amidst the rugged frontier. Surrounding the
Tisdale District are two other indigenous districts, with Wiyahkawin nestled under
Mt. Jamieson to the west, and Wiyotayin
laying within the forests to the east, and several other major locations such as
Biggwater, Mt. Jamieson, and Dead Man's Woods.

In the Tisdale region, the weather varies greatly throughout the year. Spring
brings a gradual thaw, with melting snow
and occasional showers. Summer brings warmth and sunshine, with weather in the high
30 celsius, perfect for outdoor activities,
while autumn paints the landscape with vibrant colors. Winter brings cold
temperatures as low as -40 celsius and heavy snowfall,
turning the region into a winter wonderland.

The region of Tisdale was formed some time during the Year of the Wave,
possibly sometime after 1364 DR when the
Flaming Fist were sent west to find Anchorome. Groups of hopeful forestry and
mining guilds from both Waterdeep and Neverwinter
sent expeditions of their own to find Anchorome after legend of Balduran finding
wealth and treasure seemed plausible.
These expeditions were successfull and the groups from each had formed settlements,
now known as the villages of Tisdale,
Fredericktown, and Porcupine and formed relationships and trade with the local
indigenous settlements. In 1480 DR, almost directly
after the events of the Spellplague, the region of Tisdale declared independance
from the governance of Faerunian empires and became
their own sovereign nation, with the utmost support of Faerun.
