Elon Musk is a visionary entrepreneur who is changing the world Elon Musk is one of the
most successful and influential entrepreneurs in the world. He is the founder, CEO, and
chief engineer of SpaceX; angel investor, CEO, and product architect of Tesla, Inc.;
founder of The Boring Company; co-founder of Neuralink and OpenAI; and president of
the philanthropic Musk Foundation.

Musk was born in South Africa in 1971. He showed an early aptitude for engineering and
technology, and he attended the University of Pennsylvania, where he studied physics and
economics. After graduating, he moved to Silicon Valley to pursue a career in technology.

Musk's first successful company was Zip2, a software company that provided maps and
business directories to online publications. He sold Zip2 to Compaq in 1999 for $307
million. Musk then founded X.com, an online financial services company. X.com merged
with Confinity in 2000 to form PayPal, which was later acquired by eBay for $1.5 billion.

In 2002, Musk founded SpaceX, a company that develops rockets and spacecraft. SpaceX
has made significant progress in reducing the cost of space travel, and it is now one of the
leading companies in the commercial space industry.

In 2004, Musk invested in Tesla Motors, an electric car company. Musk became CEO of
Tesla in 2008, and he has overseen the company's rapid growth. Tesla is now the world's
leading electric car manufacturer.

Musk is also a visionary entrepreneur in other areas. He founded The Boring Company, a
company that is developing a new transportation system that would use tunnels to move
people and goods underground. He also co-founded Neuralink, a company that is
