Own –A-Pony

Thank you for your interest in our Own-A-Pony experience at Little Slice Ranch. The Own- A- Pony
experience is available on an appointment basis and requires a non-refundable /nontransferable deposit
of $50.00. Once your deposit is received, your pre-selected date will be secured for you. Please call
ahead for date options as these vary.

The cost for Own-A-Pony is $200.00 for the first child, and $50.00 for each additional child.

Balance will be due upon arrival.

We are require children to be accompanied by an adult. The adult will be assisting the child(ren) in
close up activities under supervision of the instructor. The accompanying adult should be capable of
lifting the child, bending and standing or sitting for prolonged periods. The under saddle portion of this
experience is conducted in an enclosed arena with 4” of sand footing. The accompanying adult should
be capable of walking the pony under supervision in these conditions.

It is required for all participants to wear enclosed footwear. (Low heeled boots are highly
recommended), and long pants. Jeans are recommended.

Please bring a lunch or minimally, a drink and snack for your child.

Our experience lasts approximately 2 and ½ to 3 hours

This activity is not generally recommended for children under the age of 4.

There is a maximum 70 lb weight limit for the under saddle (riding) portion of the program.

Helmets are mandatory for participants under saddle, and will be provided.

Hand washing station and hand sanitizers are available. Hand washing is not only recommended, but
encouraged throughout the day.

The following is a rough example of our activities for the day.

We will have you arrive at 11:00 A.M

The day will begin with an introduction to each pony. A pony will be selected for each child, and be
followed by a safety and grooming session. From there we will move on to an in hand lesson where your
child will learn to properly walk the pony and the pony and child will get to know each other. After our
in hand lesson we will take a break for lunch, and a fun take home craft and review. Finally your child
will be given a lesson under saddle. We will end the day with a visit to the barnyard where you and your
child will meet the other animals and feed the goats, ducks, and chickens, and gather any eggs. (Clients
may take home any eggs gathered that day if desired). Activities contingent on weather and season.

We are Located approximately 6 miles south of Kings Estate Winery on Territorial Highway in Lorane,
Oregon. We are on Google Maps under Little Slice Ranch.
