In my Junior high school I barely knew even the basics of a computer, let alone know how it operated.

Luckily in high school I was introduced to Information and Communication Technology subject which
quite intrigued me. It was then I began to comprehend the crucial role played by computers and
technology nowadays. Grasping the concepts of ICT was not an easy ride amidst the political unrest in
my country in 2021 but with dedication, willingness to learn and help from my teacher I was able to
write the ICT Cambridge exams and got an A credit.

Through the love of ICT I developed a burning desire to pursue a career that is computer related. After
doing my research I found that a Computer science and information engineering degree would be great
for a start then major in software engineering. Then I thought to myself which better universities other
than Istinye and Instabul Technical universities which boosts of computer centers with the latest
technology and student exchange programs. This way I get to interact with students from diverse
backgrounds with similar interests.

What I also love about Instabul Technical and Istinye universities is that they help students find
internships and are located in the city where there is a hub of reputable companies like Apptech and
Vanta works where graduates can try their luck. After graduating I believe I would have acquired the
best knowledge and skills about upgrading, coding, designing hardware and maintaining computer hard
and software. Furthermore, I believe that an undergraduate in Turkey will be a stepping stone towards
building my own IT company when I pursue my masters.
