Statement of purpose

As the world’s usage of technology has increased

exponentially over the years, the applications of technology in
every day life have shown themselves to be boundless and
limited only by the human imagination. I have been interested
in programming since I first realized its applications in the
world, and I hope to continue honing my skills through this
program in Computer Science.
I have always found it amazing to observe as the digital
revolution shapes the modern society at a very fast rate. Still,
despite the accomplishments of technology, it seems that there
is still a lot to be discovered.
My love for computers was sparked very unexpectedly. Ever
since I was young, I have cultivated a deep love for problem
solving. From a young age, I have always enjoyed solving
math problems and coding. However, my passion did not start
to develop until I began my GCSE in grade 11. Our school
offered two courses in Computing, Computer Science and
Information and Communications Technology. I became
really curious as to what Computer Science had to offer, and
having heard that it was a practical subject made me even
more curious as to finding out what it really was.
My goal is to become a software engineer or a cyber security
analyst, using my programming skills to be able to develop
new algorithms for data protection and filtering in order to
safeguard sensitive information. This program in Computer
Science will also allow me to improve my programming skills
as well as give me the skill set I will need to be competitive in
the Information Technology field. Through the knowledge
that I will gain through this program, I hope to learn more
about database programming as well as other concepts related
to this field.
Turkey is one of the world’s fastest growing economies, and it
has high standards of education. I believe that studying in
Turkey will give me better opportunities in terms of work
after graduating
Computer science is a logical climax of what I adhere to
computers. After completing the 4 years of the computer
science and engineering course, I would like to acquire my
master's degree and strengthen my skills. This will give me
the latest tools and knowledge. My long-term goal is to have
excellent technical skills that can be achieved by securing a
challenging position, demonstrating the skills as a software
professional effectively.
