My name is Artur <…>, I am a fifth year student of the Institute of Oriental Studies and International Relations – one of the best academic departments of Kazan (Volga region) Federal University. I am 22 years old and I am getting the Diploma in International Relations this summer. Do you know that in Celtic the meaning of the name Artur is Noble bear? That’s why I consider myself strong and capable of attaining success. If I do something, I try to do it pretty good. Consequently, I am one of the best students in my group. My current average grade for all subjects is 5 (excellent). I hope I will finish my university and get a Diploma with honours. My dream is to enter Management Development Institute of Singapore and undertake the Master in International Business programme. All the modules on this course are designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary for a career working in international business sphere. The teaching style is to use real business cases and research to allow students to gain a practical knowledge of the business world. That is exactly what I’m looking for! The Republic of Tatarstan and Singapore have very close connections. The trade volume is increasing year by year; both sides actively participate in Russia-Singapore business forums; experts from Singapore come to Tatarstan to share their experience. For instance, on the 7th of June, 2007 Minister Mentor of Singapore Republic Lee Kwan Yew, who is rightfully considered to be a father of Singapore economic miracle, visited SEZ “Alabuga”. He noted: “I am surprised by the significant progress of SEZ in just one year. It shows promise of growth and progress”. Moreover, I participated as an interpreter during the visit of the delegation from Singapore in 2010. That is why I consider this direction actual and perspective. After returning to Tatarstan, I will use my knowledge and skills to work in the sphere of foreign economic activity, trade with Singapore. May be, my Final Management Project will be dedicated to bilateral relations of Singapore and Tatarstan, joint-venture specifics and other business related issues. Confucius said, “Wherever you go, go with all your heart.” I absolutely agree with this statement, and I am very motivated to achieve success. I firmly believe knowledge is power and main asset that will provide me with good income and stable job. Additionally, it will satisfy me and help to occupy a worthy place in society. My analytical thinking abilities, diligence, deep interest in Singapore and language level are the strengths that will assist me to be enrolled. I speak Chinese and English, two of four official languages of Singapore. Additionally, International Business programme offers a unique opportunity to learn French. In my view, a young specialist with three foreign languages will be in demand on the labour market. In conclusion, the truth is that it will be a great honour to be one of your students. Believe in your dreams and they may come true; believe in yourself and they will come true.
