RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PROPELLER DESIGN
INTERRELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN ENGINE AND PROPELLER
In a number of cases, our respective recommendations for propeller design and our service
instructions concerning the interrelationships between engine and propeller have been
misinterpreted or incorrectly applied by clients or yards.
Enclosed please find our "Recommendations for Propeller Design" and "Interrelationships
between Engine and Propeller".
The latter supersedes the respective exposition in Chapter 580 or 581 of our Service
Instructions for RD or RND engines, but, in principle, is also valid for other types of engines
wherever applicable.
