Subject: Marantz 2017 AVR Remote (iOS Ver. 2.3.0) will be released.
This is Information.

Symptom: Compatible with AV8805.

Cause: For new FY17 model

Solution: Marantz 2017 AVR Remote (iOS Ver. 2.3.0) will be released to the
App Store.

*This application corresponds to the iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad (i-Devices) after

"iOS Version 7".
Note:
The model other than the above will be induced to Marantz Remote App in the
application. So, please inform the customer about the use of Marantz
RemoteApp
when there is an inquiry concerning these.

[Notes / FAQ]
1. The App ("Marantz 2016 AVR Remote") supports only FY14 models:
AV8802/AV8802A and FY15 models: NR1506/NR1606/SR5010/SR6010/
SR7010/AV7702mkII and FY16 models: NR1607/SR5011/SR6011/SR7011/
AV7703/NR1508/NR1608/SR5012/SR6012/SR7012/AV7704/AV8805. So the
App cannot control other models.
2. When the app shows unstable behaviors (Suddenly Crash, Cannot find
devices), please recommend to free (Clear) memory. Terminate background
apps, restart the iDevice by shutting down/restart the power-on.
3. When Network Control setting is Off, App cannot turn on the power after it was
turned off. Please set Network Control = On.
4. While browsing Internet Radio stations or Network files, the AVR GUI and the
app display may be temporarily out of sync. The app directly connects to vTuner
server on the Internet or Media Server on local network. The menu is different
from AVR GUI. For instance, "Recently Played" and "radio.marantz.com" are not
displayed on the app.
5. Max volume setting is for avoiding the accidental big sound. It's a independent
of the main unit's Max Volume. +/- buttons allows to set beyond the value of the
Max volume setting.
6. A HDMI connection between the AVR and a Blu-ray player is required for CEC
control Some buttons of the App may not work.
* To use the HDMI CEC control between AVR and BD Player require to be set to
HDMI Control = ON.
* Control commands for HDMI CEC control may be different by each Blu-ray
players. Some buttons of the App may not work.
7. The language setting of iOS is applied to the app; when the language is not
supported by the app, English is selected.
8. If your customer complains that the app needs a long time to get content lists,
please explain it comes from a limitation of a combination between Windows
Vista and Windows Media Player11. When in other general DMC applications
(e.g. DiXiM DM) with Windows Media Player11 case, it also takes 10 seconds as
a response time for BROWSE request from DMC.

[Recommended Media Server]

Response times (performance) of Music server are various.
The App engineering team confirmed the followings:

* Windows Media Player 12
More compatibility information is coming soon.
9. User may not be able to perform seek operation by server and content.
10. If the app does not work correctly, please try the followings:
1) Force the app to close.

When the trouble still remains after the above, please try the followings
additionally:
1) Force the app to close.

2) Set Update/Upgrade Notification settings to OFF on the AVR setting menu.
3) Power cycle the AVR with AC cable, and wait a minute.
4) Launch the app again.
11. During a playback of Media Server (Music Server) from the app, another
playback from external DLNA compatible player (*) may be failure.
(*) Windows Media Player, QPlay App, Twonky Media Server etc.
To avoid this issue, the target main unit needs to exit from the external mode.
Please change the input source from Media Server (Music Server) to others at
first.
Then, start the playback from the DLNA compatible player.
12. DRM protected songs cannot be played by using the feature "This
iPhone"/"This
iPod"/"This iPad". To upgrade such songs to DRM free version, please refer to
the following link.
