1. What mechanisms are the most appropriate to promote the welfare of the teachers?

The mechanism that are most appropriate to promote the welfare of the teachers

are the Magna carta for teachers. Giving the teachers the proper remuneration and

benefits. Teachers in remote and dangerous places should receive a hazard pay,

the department of education should consider giving free medical coverage for all

teachers. Although teacher has a PVP, they are not enjoying it because of the inset,

seminars and training scheduled on the supposed vacation of the teacher. Because

of too much clerical work of the teacher and other special assignments, they

neglected to do their primary duty as a teacher that is too teach their students. The

government should consider promoting the welfare of the teacher because the

teacher shape the future of the next generations.

2. As educational managers/future educational managers, why do we need to become

familiar with the laws and regulation issued by the President and the Congress and
how will we implement the provisions of laws relating to teaching personnel?

As educational managers it is important to know or to be familiarized with the

existing laws and regulation because as a manager, you are responsible for every

action you made also liable for any untoward incidents that may occur. So, following

the existing laws maybe a safeguard for every educational manager to make sure

he/she is in the right path in every decision he/she make. Legal basis is important

especially for the head of the department ensuring that the policy is inclined in the

laws imposed by the higher authorities. For example: the legal mandates for the

basic education are coming from the Department of Education thru its DepEd orders

and memorandum. While the legal mandates for those who are teaching in the

higher education is the CMO or the CHED Memorandum Order. Presidential

decree, executive order and laws passed by the Congress and other policy by the

higher authority should be the guide of every educational leaders in policy making or

in running their own department.
