1. The parent/teacher calls out a letter and the child responds with a word
that begins with that letter.
2. The parent/teacher throws the ball to the child and the child gives the
adult a letter to find a word for, on and on.
Note: The parent/teacher can make the game more fun by kicking the ball or
chasing each other to tag with the ball. They can also play rhyming ball, where

**demonstration**
Students: Yes!!!
Teacher: Okay. So, first, let’s make a big circle. *students will follow
accordingly*
Teacher: Then, here, I have a ball. I will say a letter, for example, the letter
“C.” Next, I will throw the ball to one of you. The one who catches the ball must
respond a word that starts with letter “C.” Do you understand?
Teacher: Very good. Let’s try… C! *teacher throws the ball to a student*
Teacher: Good job! Now, before throwing back the ball to me, you must also
say a letter and I will give you a word that starts with that letter. Do you
understand?
Student: Yes, ma’am. Hmm… M! *student throws back the ball to the teacher*
