Event Description
This Iftar Jamaie 2024 event hosted by Sekolah Sri UCSI, Kuala Lumpur is targeting all
Muslim community for two schools: Sekolah Sri UCSI KL and UCSI International School KL.
It is held to foster unity and inclusivity by hosting the first-ever school-wide Iftar event,
creating a welcoming space for all members of the Muslim community to come together in
celebration of Ramadan, fostering a sense of belonging and cultural appreciation.

IFTAR JAMAIE 2024 (WEDNESDAY, 27/3/2024, 6.00pm – 11.00pm)

6.00pm Arrival of all Muslim teachers, students, and parents

6.15pm Welcoming speech

7.30pm Buka puasa (Light meal)

Total

*Total expenditure for food and beverage needs to be calculated by the total number of
participants. Everyone (teachers and parents) will be contributing RM30 for the Iftar Jamaie
2024 event. No invited ustaz from outside as we will invite our Malay Muslim male teachers
to lead the prayers.

Food and Beverage

The hosting organization will order food from halal restaurants to be served during the Iftar
Jamaie 2024.

Others
To make this event a successful one, there are a few other things that need to be
highlighted:

1. A few numbers of roll mats (tikar gulung) need to be placed inside the MPH as all
programs would be done sitting on the floor.
2. 2 – 3 carpets need to be placed on the stage for Khatam al-Quran ceremony.
3. Buka puasa (light meal – dates, some kuih muih and small mineral water) will be
served on the tikar gulung.

4. Buka puasa (heavy meal) will be served at the canteen area, hence this event will
need some lights turning on at night.
