The document lists 10 lessons learned from 5 presentations about research methods. It discusses the purposes of survey and correlational research, how to select samples for casual-comparative studies, the need for audio/video recordings during observations to avoid bias, ethics in interviewing, living in a community to conduct ethnography research, and limits to generalizing ethnographic study samples.

Assignment 6: List then 10 lessons for research you have taken from the 5
presentations.
10 lessons for research I have taken from the 5 presentations today:
1. The major purpose of survey research is to describe the characteristics of the population. 2. Questions asked in survey research should be brief, easy to answer, and well-formatted. 3. Correlational research is aimed at seeking out the relationships between variables. 4. The variables of correlational research can be existed or be predicted. 5. When selecting a sample for a casual-comparative study, the researcher should define carefully the characteristics to be studied to select different groups depending on the characteristics. 6. The results of casual-comparative studies should be interpreted with caution. 7. When observing and interviewing, the researcher should use audio and video recording to avoid researcher bias. 8. Respecting the interviewees is one of the important ethical factors when conducting interviews. 9. To conduct ethnography research, the researcher must come and live in the participant's community. 10. The sample in ethnographic studies can not generalize to a larger population.
