1. Identify other breeds of swine including their characteristic features and


classify them according to purpose for which they are raised.
2. Discuss the importance of swine in the animal industry.

1. Hogs are raised according to purpose: Lard, bacon and meat. Illustrate and
label a cut of pork showing the distinct types for which the swine is raised.
Describe and give representative breeds of swine for each type.

2. What is the status of swine industry in the Philippines? In our region? In


Dumaguete City.

3. Give other breeds of hogs which are not mentioned in our discussion. Paste
their pictures and descriptions such as their names, place of origin, type, their
positive and negative traits and respective reproductive performances.
