The INFLIBNET Centre has been awarded a project to create awareness about open science and research data
preservation in India. DataCite is an international organization that provides persistent identifiers (DOIs) for
research data and promotes data citation practices to facilitate data discovery, access, and reuse. The Webinar
under the Outreach Programme aims to empower researchers, institutions, and organizations to unlock the full
potential of their research data through best practices, tools, and community engagement. In alignment with
INFLIBNET's objectives of promoting open science, research data management, the webinar will cover following
major topics.
Topics
1. An overview of the Open Research Data and its significance in the context of data citation and metadata
standards.
2. Data Management Plan
3. Importance of data citation and metadata standards for enhancing data discoverability, accessibility, and
reusability.
4. Demonstrate case study and examples of data repository (NRDR) initiatives and implementations.
