Title: A Feasibility Study of Establishing a Rabbit Meat Sausage Company

n
Description:

ña
The company's product called " Rabbit Meat Sausage" presents a distinctive and flavorful

Bi
alternative to conventional meat selections, offering consumers a wholesome and nutritious
protein source. These meat sausages are made from premium rabbit meat, skillfully seasoned

P
to deliver a delightful fusion of taste and nutritional advantages. Rabbit meat has excellent

PU
dietary nutritional characteristics. Its calorie content is relatively low, and the levels of
protein and fats vary based on the meat quantity. Abundant in vitamins B, and E, riboflavin,
IE
pantothenic acid, pyridoxine, niacin, and B12, rabbit meat stands out in nutritional richness.

Waste Disposal
er

The growing importance of environmental concerns necessitates a heightened focus on

op

enhancing sustainability within production cycles. In accordance with Environmental

Pr

Management Bureau Regulations, proper disposal of waste types, particularly hazardous

wastes, is emphasized. The Philippines has undertaken initiatives to enhance solid waste
management, notably through the enactment of RA 9003, also known as the Ecological Solid
Waste Management Act. This legislation outlines a systematic, comprehensive, and
ecological waste management program designed to safeguard public health and the
environment. The concerted efforts under RA 9003 underscore a commitment to responsible
waste management practices for the benefit of both citizens and the natural environment.
Our Polypropylene (PP) containers are recyclable, urging customers to join recycling
programs. This initiative not only emphasizes the recyclability of the packaging but also aims
to motivate consumers to contribute to sustainability efforts through responsible waste
management practices.

Requirements for Waste Disposal

1. Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000 (Republic Act No. 9003):

n
Commonly known as the Solid Waste Management Act, provides the necessary policy

ña
framework, institutional mechanisms and mandate to the local government units (LGUs) to
achieve 25% waste reduction through establishing an integrated solid waste management plan

Bi
based on 3Rs (reduce, reuse and recycling).

P
2. DENR Administrative Order No. 34 Series of 1990 (Water Quality Criteria and

PU
General Effluent Standards):

Issued by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), this

IE
administrative order provides specific water quality criteria and effluent standards that
industries must adhere to for water discharge.
BS

In producing rabbit meat sausage, we manage waste through designated trash cans outside the
site, preventing pollution. Our efficient drainage and filtration prevent water waste
of

contaminants from reaching natural sources. Additionally, office paper scraps and packaging
cloth are upcycled or sold, minimizing environmental impact.

Environmental Protection Procedure

To minimize waste, the company conducts regular inspections to comprehend the nature of
the generated waste, with a focus on cost reduction, ensuring worker safety, mitigating
liability, and enhancing the community image

1. Waste Inspection and Management: Regularly inspect and manage waste generated
during the production process to identify opportunities for reduction, focusing on cost
efficiency, worker safety, and community image.
2. Water Waste Control: Implement an efficient drainage system and filtration process to

n
prevent water waste from contaminating natural water sources, ensuring responsible

ña
water management.
3. Dust (Soil Pollution) Prevention: Enforce daily cleaning routines to prevent dust,

Bi
particularly from the production process, from contaminating the soil. Adhere to
proper waste disposal practices to minimize environmental impact.

P
4. By-Product Disposal: Properly dispose of by-products, such as packaging materials,

PU
using designated trash cans outside the manufacturing site to prevent pollution and
maintain cleanliness.
IE
5. Upcycling and Recycling: Explore opportunities for upcycling and recycling materials
used in the production process. Reuse packaging materials or explore avenues for
BS

recycling, contributing to sustainability efforts.

Waste Disposal Method

of

In promoting effective waste separation, we strategically position various trash cans outside
ty

our facility and manufacturing areas. This not only aids in segregating our production waste
but also facilitates the waste collector's quick identification of the garbage in each can.
er

To streamline waste disposal, we have a designated dustbin placed outside the manufacturing
op

facility, ensuring a straightforward process for waste collection. Cardboard boxes and
Pr

shredded paper are repurposed and sold online to generate additional income. Spent rabbit
meat sausage by-products, such as bones and trimmings, will be sent either to composting
facilities or waste management facilities. Meanwhile, other wastes like dust will be collected
by the local government unit (LGU) according to their schedule and disposed of in landfills.

While our rabbit meat sausage has no known adverse effects on the environment, we
prioritize the filtration of water waste from the production process before it enters the
drainage system. This proactive measure aims to minimize waste, enhance resource
productivity, and reduce the overall environmental impact of both production and
consumption.

illustrates how raw materials are transformed into our quality rabbit meat sausage.

Stock Optimization

The BIT company uses an Order Manufacturing system to make ordering easier for us and
our customers. This system takes care of everything from buying materials to planning
transportation and managing stock. It includes important details like the type of order,
documents, when it starts and finishes, how much is ordered, its status, and where it starts and
goes. By using this automated system, we want to cut down on manual work expenses, lower
the chances of mistakes, and put more effort into making our business grow and keeping
customers satisfied.

Warehouse Management

The business involves optimizing the warehouse space for maximum inventory storage. The

n
company will prioritize simplicity for our employees in locating inventory and ensure ample

ña
staffing for quick order fulfillment. Effective communication with suppliers and logistics
providers is a key focus, ensuring timely delivery of raw materials and efficient order

Bi
shipping. This holistic approach ensures seamless coordination in every aspect of warehouse
operations, promoting productivity and cost control.

P
Points of Distribution

PU
Our product will be distributed to a variety of retail stores and supermarkets. It will also be
sold directly to consumers on e-commerce platforms. With this being said, our company will
IE
be employing the Business-To-Business distribution route, as well as the more direct
BS

Business-To-Consumer distribution route for our e-commerce segment. We will be utilizing

logistics services for the delivery and distribution of our product.
of

Channels of Distribution

The distribution strategy for Rabbit Meat Sausage involves a multi-faceted approach to
ty

ensure widespread availability and customer accessibility. The primary channel is through
er

E-commerce platforms, while our second distribution channel involves third-party outlets
op

such as supermarkets, hypermarkets, and convenience stores that will serve as physical
touchpoints where customers can purchase Rabbit Meat Sausage.
Pr

Our company will establish a robust

online presence through platforms like
Shopee, our official website, and
various social media channels. This
direct approach allows us to establish a closer connection with end consumers, cutting out
intermediaries and ensuring efficient delivery services. The online platform will be carefully
curated with visually appealing images, detailed product information, and a user-friendly
interface to enhance customer experience. Additionally, the digital channel will serve as a
valuable tool for collecting customer preferences and building a comprehensive database for
personalized marketing strategies, fostering improved business relations and sustained

n
growth.

ña
This strategy acknowledges the enduring appeal of in-person shopping experiences and

Bi
broadens our market reach. Collaborating with wholesalers forms the third channel, acting as
intermediaries between the manufacturer and retailers or end consumers. This two-level

P
channel ensures scalability, cost-effectiveness, and wider market coverage. Manufacturers

PU
can produce in larger batches, reducing production costs, while wholesalers facilitate
distribution to various locations.
IE
By employing a diversified distribution strategy, we aim to maximize Rabbit Meat Sausage's
visibility, revenue potential, and market penetration, catering to the preferences of a wide
BS

range of consumers and ensuring sustained success in the competitive market.

Distribution and Collection Methods

of

In order to streamline the distribution and collection processes for Rabbit Meat Sausage, our
ty

company has chosen to collaborate with PRC Logistics, a renowned third-party logistics
er

provider. PRC Logistics will play an important role in efficiently managing the movement of
our finished goods, catering to both the B2B and B2C segments. Using their expertise, PRC
op

Logistics will oversee the distribution of Rabbit Meat Sausages to various business partners,
ensuring timely and secure deliveries to wholesalers, retailers, and other B2B clients.
Pr

Simultaneously, the logistics company will facilitate the smooth flow of products to end
consumers through the B2C segment. This strategic partnership aims to enhance our supply
chain efficiency, reduce transportation costs, and optimize the overall logistics process,
ensuring that Rabbit Meat Sausage reaches its destinations properly and in good condition.
