Salary Advance Policy

1. Objective

The Company recognizes that a request for salary advance is put forward by an employee
in cases of emergency. This document lays down the process and the guidelines for it.

2. Scope

It is a company wide Policy for employees in Tally India Private Limited and Tally Solutions
Private Limited, including all regional offices.

3. Definitions

3.1 An advance is an amount that is given to the employee in an urgent need to fulfill
his planned / unplanned commitments in time.
3.2 TIPL – Tally (India) Private Limited
3.3 TSPL – Tally Solutions Private Limited

4. Eligibility

4.1 All permanent / full-time employees are eligible to apply for a salary advance.

4.2 Employees will be eligible for a maximum of 6 months’ Basic as salary advance,
subject to approval

5. Reasons for Advance:

An advance can be requested in case of an emergency (medical or otherwise) or an


unplanned activity.

a. Advance for marriage: In case of self / son’s / daughter’s/ marriage


b. Advance for medical emergency: In case of illness of self or immediate family
members
c. Advance for any other emergency: Would be considered on case to case basis

NOTE: Advances for tuition fee, school fee, professional development etc will
not be sanctioned as the employee is expected to plan for the regular
expenses.

6. Process:

Request for Salary Advance should be raised in the specified format (Annexure I).

7. Approval

7.1 For HO employees: The salary advance will be approved by the Function Head and
the form should be signed by him. In case he is not in station then the HOD will be
the authorized signatory

7.2 For RO employees: The salary advance will be approved by the Regional Manager
and the form should be signed by him. In case he is not in station then the HOD will
be the authorized signatory.

8. Salary Advance Recovery

8.1 Salary advance given to the employee will be recovered in a maximum of 6 equal
monthly installments (depending upon the amount sanctioned) from his / her
monthly salary. Please refer to the Process Flowchart given below:

9. Interpretation

In case of clarifications/concerns related to the interpretation of this policy, the decision of


the Head – HR shall be final and binding.

10. Exceptions

Exceptions to this Policy are to be approved by the Chairperson/Managing Director.
