Homecoming starts Saturday!!!

I wanted to get this information out to you all- it’s a lot, but it is a huge week!! Make sure you all see
the hours you must work on your float. You will get Christian service hours for working on the float.

We need to pick dress up days by this Thursday night so I can post in Friday- check your emails to vote.
If you have a suggestion for a dress up day- send to me by the end of lunch.

Officers- this was already send to your emails, plus more- so check your email!!!!!!!

All ASB remembers need to Support and reinforce class officers- everyone has to work on the float-it is
part of your responsibilities. A total of 5 hours for all ASB members, one hour must be for clean up on
Friday right after halftime. Varsity cheer and football you must do your 5 before since you cannot help
during the game.

Take down/Clean up- EVERY year this is an issue!! ASB Member MUST come and work. The moderators
tell me who shows up and works. If you choose to not help with the clean up and take down, you will be
removed from ASB. You will not receive credit for on your transcripts.

Everyone has their own backs for the floats- we will get them out on the 21 st Saturday. I have
already taken care of getting the flatbed trucks for each class.

Each day or after school clean up- make sure you do not clog the sink- if you do- then unclog it. You
cannot clean anything that has to do with paint in the bathrooms. No painting in the halls

DO not let anyone paint themselves!!!!! Do not drop paint in the parking lot!!!
What you need fellow students to bring from home for the Sat workday and for the week. Your
moderators will let you know other supplies needed. All depends on what your come up with for your
float, but these are the basics.

Hammers Ladders

Saws Paints

Staple guns , paint trays

Nails Rollers- long rollers sticks , paint brushes, paint…. Nail guns? Parents who can build
things or help to paint… anything- you will need the help.

Pieces of lumber if you are building items- you will know this after you come up with yout
design.

Each class will have white mantence paint to paint over the back drops- do not use the smaller color
paint for this- it is water base and will not work for covering

Remember; never have students work on the floats without supervision. There should always be
an adult with them at all times. You can schedule parents to help but students should not be
working alone.

Each class gets $100.00 for extra materials and supplies.

All classes keep the paint and any supplies you are using in one of the moderator rooms. This will
make sure no one takes what you are using

You can use all the paint and paper you want but please use it sparingly and try not to waste any.

Pour the paint back in the container when you clean up so that it doesn't harden.

I saw a video where they put tin foil down in the paint trays before putting the paint in – made for
very easy clean up and saved the trays!!
If you mix paint, it will keep for a week; cover the container with foil or a cover

Clean up is very important. Make sure the students clean up everything and then clean up where
they were cleaning. Please make sure you check the clean up area before you leave, Class
officers if you cannot be there each day you need to make sure you have someone taking
care of this for you. If you leave a mess or leave anything out- you will not get it back or more
supplies from ASB.

You take down and clean up the night of the game, the Saints are playing the next day. The trailers
will be picked up early the next day by 10am we are very lucky to have the trailers donated each
year and since it harvests time they need them! YOU must find a drive with the correct hitch and
truck. You are responsible to make sure everything is clean up and put away or thrown away. Tom
will have the guys here to help you. Make sure you tell your class officers- THEY MUST help you! I
will also be telling them.

Send students home that paint on each other have water or paint fights or in general cause
trouble. It makes it miserable for everyone if this goes on. No one can paint themselves! It’s a
waste of money!
