Itanagar, 11th March 2024: The e-Ticketing System of Arunachal Pradesh State Transport Services
(APSTS) as an instance of StarBus (a Copyright software product of NIC) has been launched by Hon’ble
Chief Minister of the State, Sh. Pema Khandu on 11/03/2024 in presence of the Ld. Chief Secretary Sh.
Dharmendra and all the Commissioners & Secretaries of the State.
APSTS Web Application:
The application offers online booking of tickets by Citizen for various services of APSTS and digitizes the
complete life cycle of bus tickets from search, booking, payment, cancellation, digital wallet etc,. from a
Traveler user perspective. The systems also provide a complete backend management MIS System to
the department for easy operations and dynamically configure the complete service route, fare, fleet &
crew management. The Application also includes modules for dynamic portal and policy configurations
of the department. The solution also includes modules for Control Room of APSTS to monitor and see
the live movement of its buses. It also includes the provision for on-boarding Common Service Centre
and Agents for booking of tickets for Citizens at their nearest accessible point.
APSTS Mobile App:
The Mobile App facilitates for booking of tickets by Citizens on a user friendly interface. Also, the App
offers all the related functionalities for search, cancellation of ticket, payment, status of bookings. The
system is integrated with GPS solution so that the citizen get real time updates on location of bus for
their active journey.
ArunYatra Electronic Ticketing Machine (ETM) App:
A major component of the solution is the ‘ArunYatra ETM App’ used for issuing of tickets for enroute/
wayside passengers. The ETM equipped with Edge-Computing features is capable of managing the
operations in remote areas of the State where the connectivity is not available or unstable. The App
have its inherent feature to push and sync the data to central server, as and when the connectivity is
available. Also, the App is able to handle and recover the enroute data even if it crashes due to some
unseen scenario.

The complete solution has been developed and implemented by the team headed by Sh. Arun Sharma
(Scientist-E, NIC Uttarakhand), Sh. Sanjiv K Das (Scientist-C, NIC Arunachal) under the guidance of
Sh. Ashesh Kumar Agarwal (SIO, NIC Uttarakhand) and Sh. Jyotish Roy (SIO, NIC Arunachal).
