Guitar Topic - A Major scale.

Class objective - To learn and master the A major scales in Lower and
Higher Octave.

Concept A: A Major Scale on a music sheet.

The treble clef and a bass clef notion is given above.

The Notes included in an A major scale are


A, B, C#, D, E, F#, G# back to A
(the are sharps in the scale - C#,F#,G#)

On the guitar the notion is-


Concept B: How to identify the notes of A major Scale with fret diagram is
given below-

LOWER OCTAVE
If you start with A note open on the 5th string,
It will go as,
1)A note on 5th string open
2)B note on 5th string 2nd fret
3)C# Note on 5th string 4th fret
4)D note on 4th string open
5)E note on 4th string 2nd fret
6)F# note on 4th string 4th fret
7)G# note on 3rd string 1st fret
8)A note on 3rd string 2nd fret.

HIGHER OCTAVE
1)A note on 3rd string 2nd fret
2) B note open on 2nd string
3) C# note on 2nd string 2nd fret
4) D note on 2nd string 3rd fret
5) E note on 1st string open
6) F# note on 1st string 2nd fret
7) G# note on 1st string 4th fret
8) A note on 1st string 5th fret.

NOTE- YOU CAN GO FURTHER DOWN THE FRETBOARD.


(simplest idea is to start with A note and follow A,B,C#,D,E,F#,G# back
to A)

Practice A-
Practice the notes mentioned above in the lower octave and higher
octave section.
Play it continuously till you master it.
