Any country's economy is enhanced by education. Higher education in Sri Lanka is highly competitive.

Every
student struggles to get into university because only 15% of students who take the General Certificate
Examination in Advanced Level (G.C.E A/L) are qualified to enter public universities. Certain ineligible
students enrolled in public colleges are either migrant students or attend private universities or vocational
schools. Although 15% of students are eligible for public colleges, their options may be limited by their
aptitudes and skills. These traits demonstrate that when choosing a university, Sri Lanka doesn't consider
students' abilities, credentials, and program interests. The purpose of this study is to ascertain how Sri Lankan
students make their university choices. Student selection dimensional variables are used in the study. The
Marketing Mix modelfor higher education, Kotler and Fox (1995), Hossler (1999), and Holdsworth's Combined
Complex Decision model
