Objective: To create a customized music track suitable for a hip-hop dance performance, utilizing a music editor on your
cellphone, with careful consideration of music elements and your chosen dance concept.
Materials Needed:
Cellphone with a music editor app installed
Headphones or speakers for playback
Music files or samples
Instructions:
Select Music Editor App: Choose a music editor app available on your cellphone. Popular options include
GarageBand (iOS), FL Studio Mobile (Android), or any other music editing app compatible with your device.
Gather Music Samples: Collect music samples or tracks that fit your chosen hip-hop dance concept. Consider
elements such as tempo, rhythm, and mood that align with your vision for the performance.
Import Music Files: Open the music editor app on your cellphone and import the selected music files into the
editor. Ensure that the total duration of the combined music samples falls within the range of 3 to 5 minutes.
Arrange Music Sections: Use the editing tools provided by the app to arrange the music sections according to
your desired sequence. Pay attention to transitions between sections and ensure a smooth flow throughout the
track.
Adjust Tempo and Rhythm: Experiment with adjusting the tempo and rhythm of the music to match the dynamic
movements and energy of hip-hop dance. You can speed up or slow down certain sections to create anticipation or
emphasize key moments in the choreography.
Enhance Sound Effects (Optional): Explore additional features of the music editor app to enhance the sound
effects or add layers of instrumentation to the music track. Consider incorporating elements like drum beats,
basslines, or vocal samples to elevate the overall impact of the music.
Fine-Tune Volume and Balance: Adjust the volume levels and balance of different elements within the music track
to ensure clarity and coherence. Pay attention to the balance between vocals, instrumentals, and any added sound
effects to maintain a cohesive sound.
Preview and Edit: Play back the edited music track to preview the final result. Make any necessary edits or
adjustments to refine the timing, transitions, or sound quality of the track.
Save and Export: Once you are satisfied with the edited music track, save the project within the music editor app
and export the final version as an audio file. Choose a high-quality audio format compatible with your playback
device.
Test Playback: Transfer the exported music track to your preferred playback device (e.g., cellphone, music player)
and test playback using headphones or speakers. Ensure that the music sounds clear and balanced, and that it
complements the dynamics of hip-hop dance movements.

2. Design Planning: Sketch out your gown design, considering the unique properties of the scrap materials you have
chosen. Think about how you can manipulate and combine these materials to create a cohesive and visually
appealing garment.
3. Preparation: Prepare your scrap materials by cutting or shaping them according to your design plan. Use scissors
to cut newspapers or cardboard into strips or shapes that can be easily manipulated and assembled into the desired

secure all seams and embellishments. Trim any excess material or loose threads to give your gown a polished
