BSIT 1-A
GEN. ANTONIO LUNA

This is the sculpture of General Antonio Luna, Antonio Luna was the
founder of the Philippine military academy and they call him the general of the
revolution. This sculpture or statue serves as a memory and a reminder of how
brave and strong-willed General Antonio Luna is. It was built to honor and
remember the death of General Antonio Luna in Rizal Park.
It sculpture can be found at Brgy. 3 Jose Rizal Monument of Laoag City.
Actually, you can see a lot of sculptures not only Gen. Antonio Luna.
As I have observed in this sculpture the materials used we’re a mixed of
Jinjang granite stones, and cement or concrete, the element of Color is one of
the reasons why the monument attracts the viewer’s attention. It is not the
most colorful given that it comprises only two main colors, but the simplistic
and minimalistic vibe is what catches the eye.
General Antonio Luna sculpture in Jose Rizal Monument in Laoag City,
province of Ilocos Norte generally marks the place where the brave or valiant
heroes are being placed.

JOSEFA LLANES ESCODA

A statue was built in the memory of an outstanding feminist, national
heroine, martyr of World War II.

Just like General Antonio Luna, you can also find this sculpture of Josefa
Llanes Escoda there because as I have said it’s not only one, two or three
heroes are being placed in there but a lot of brave heroes.
