NOTICE AND AGENDA FOR SPECIAL GENERAL BODY

MEETING (No. 1) FOR THE TERM 2020-2022
Refer contents of Byelaw 3(c) (extracted) from the (IIA) Model Bye-laws for a Chapter and Centre
(of IIA), reproduced below,

A Special General Body Meeting shall be called by one of the Joint Honorary Secretaries when required by the
Executive Committee or at any time not later than two weeks and not more than four weeks after the receipt of a
requisition stating the purpose for which a meeting is required, and signed by at least fifteen members. Seven
days’ notice at least, specifying the place, date and the hour of the Meeting, and the Agenda shall be given to the
members. The notice shall be sent to each member at his registered address, and advertised or announced as
may be determined by the Executive Committee.

In accordance with the (aforementioned) provisions, Special General Body Meeting (Number-01)
of The Indian Institute of Architects (UTTARAKHAND CHAPTER) for the term 2020-2022 will be
held on Friday, 07th July 2023 at 11 AM at venue- EXECUTIVE BOARD ROOM (FIRST FLOOR),
Hotel CYGNETT INN PARAS, Haridwar Bypass Road, Near ISBT, Niranjanpur, Dehradun,
Uttarakhand 248001, to transact the following agenda:

1) Meeting called to order.

2) To present and (thereafter) discuss the contents of Memorandum titled- “IRREGULARITIES

IN THE ONGOING ELECTIONS TO THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF THE UTTARAKHAND
CHAPTER OF THE INDIAN INSTITUITE OF ARCHITECTS AND SUBSEQUENT SCRAPPING
THEREOF”; Ref No. ECEL/IIAUKC/JHS/01, dated 17 June 2023, supported by
signature/written consent (received between 17 June 2023 and 22 June 2023) of 15 Active
Members (in good standing)/ Valid Voters of IIA (affiliated to the Uttarakhand Chapter of
IIA)

3) To adopt a resolution upon the aforesaid subject matter after recording preference of the
Attendees at Special General Body Meeting (Number-01).

All Active Members (in good standing) are requested to attend the meeting.

minutes and the same will be held as an adjourned meeting not requiring a quorum.
