Vo- why University of Southern Mississippi

Me- The university of southern Mississippi stood out for me out of the 4 schools I
applied to due to several reasons, it offers the classes and courses that aligns
with my academic interest and offers certification courses that will add to my
profile as a nurse, and the faculty to student ratio is great and it has a
beautiful cultural diversity, so getting this degree in USM will make me stand out
when I return to Nigeria and I will be able to make a great impact in the medical
and health sector in Nigeria.
Vo-what have u been doing since after
Me- I volunteered as an intern in a pharmaceutical clinic where I assist nurses
( cuts me off)

Vo- who's ur sponsor

Me- my uncle ****** who owns a private company that deals with the importation.of
foreign textiles from asian countries*****
He has been the one financing my education since high school and I have an
affidavit of support and bank statements to prove that he's willing and capable to
sponsor my stay through out in the US

As, I was waiting for them to start calling us in, I just dey tell God "God
remember your promises o"
I don't have any God except you😩
As everything don set
I was sitting down and observing and as well having a fast heart beat.
The VO that interviewed me was just giving out white paper, she approved 3 people
before me.

That black lady dey ask too much question, but if you know wetin you dey talk, she
go give.
As the other applicant was leaving, I immediately stood up and was walking towards
her before she waved at me to come, in my mind I was like " mama you don't need to

VO- Nodding and smiling, I can see you changed from Nursing to Public health
Me- yes, I did

Vo- Any reason why you changed

Me- yes ma, you know, I realized that I could directly go into my area of interest
with the right application, so after reaccessing and reanalyzing my career goals
and interest, I decided to go for a major in public health because public health
will give me the broaden opportunity to contribute effectively to the maternal and
child health affairs of Nigeria as compared to Nursing where I will be just
restricted to the bed side.
Also, with public health, I can reach out to many pregnant women and their babies,
it could be through hospital, community, or with the NGO, omor I started talking

I thank God for this goodnews, I thank our mother of perpetual help and Mary undoer
of knots, I asked her to undo the knots of visa delay and denial in my life, and
she honoured my request.
In this journey, pray, if possible fast, I fasted for 40days through out that
Easter period, and I have been making out days to fast since last year.
Again, Pray, pray, pray and pray and exercise the faith you have.
God answers prayers.
