Lesson aims:

 to introduce vocabulary related to free time activities


 to give students practice in using adverbs of frequency, present simple
Specific competences:
1.1 Identify the general meaning of clearly-spoken everyday dialogues and messages
2.2 Use simple everyday phrases to take part in social interactions
3.2 Extract information from a short illustrated text
4.2 Describe aspects of everyday life (people, places, school, family, hobbies)

Stages of the lesson
Activity 1 – Warm up
Teacher greets class and marks the absent students, if any. Teacher makes sure the
conditions are proper to start the lesson. Teacher writes on the blackboard the title of the
new unit and asks students to write it in their notebooks. Using brainstorming method,
teacher writes in the middle of the blackboard the phrase “free time activities” and then
asks students to come to the blackboard and write different activities.

Teacher`s role: to set the task, to monitor and offer help
Time: 5 min

Activity 2 – Lead in
Teacher asks students to open their books on page 94 and asks the students some questions
related to the picture in the book. Then teacher gives students a couple of minutes to
answer the three questions from the "be curious" section.
Students can then compare their answers in pairs before teacher checks the answers.
Teacher asks some students to present their answers and corrects possible mistakes.
