ENERGY SOURCES
There are 11 main different alternative sources of energy
that are used in the world to generate power:

it is divided into two types..

RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES AND

NON-RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES
RENEWABLE
ENERGY SOURCES
Natural resorces that is plentiful, sustainable,
naturally replenished and good to the
environment.

HERE ARE THE EXAMPLES:

RENEWABLE
SOLAR ENERGY FROM THE SUN WIND ENERGY

Wind energy, or wind power, is created

Solar energy is any type of using a wind turbine, a device that
energy generated by the sun. channels the power of the wind to
generate electricity.
GEOTHERMAL ENERGY FROM HYDROPOWER FROM
THE HEAT INSIDE TH EARTH FLOWING WATER

Hydropower, or hydroelectric power, is a

renewable source of energy that generates
Geothermal energy is heat
power by using a dam or diversion structure
within the earth. to alter the natural flow of a river or other
body of water.
OCEAN ENERGY IN THE FORM OF
WAVE, TIDAL, CURRENT ENERGY BIOMASS FROM PLANTS
AND OCEAN THERMAL ENERGY

Biomass is a renewable energy source,

Ocean energy refers to all generated from burning wood, plants
forms of renewable energy and other organic matter, such as
derived from the sea. manure or household waste.
NON-RENEWABLE
ENERGY SOURCES
A limited supply from the
earth, that will eventually run
out.

HERE ARE THE EXAMPLES:

NON-RENEWABLE
PETROLUEM HYDROCARBON GAS LIQUIDS

Petroleum products are fuels HGLs have a high energy density (the
made from crude oil and amount of energy stored in a given space
hydrocarbons contained in per volume) and multiple uses due to
natural gas. their ability to become liquids or gases.
NATURAL GAS
Natural gas is a colourless, odorless gas that
is easy to burn and typically consists mostly
(90% or more) of methane (CH4).

COAL
Coal is the largest source of energy for
generating electricity in the world, and the
most abundant fossil fuel.

NUCLEAR ENERGY
Nuclear is a zero-emission clean energy
source. It generates power through fission,
which is the process of splitting uranium
atoms to produce energy.
