My Process Engineering Learning Pathway :

1.Good knowledge and understanding of Codes & Standards such as API-14E, API-12J, API660, TEMA
Standards...etc

2.solid background of chemical engineering principles includes fluid mechanics, heat transfer, mass
transfer, thermodynamics and basic chemistry..etc

3.basic understanding of process equipment theory of operation and it's functions in process plants.

4.Good knowledge and understanding of Process Engineering documents such as H&MB, PFD, P&ID,
BOD, process datasheets, and Line/equipment/valve list.

5.basic knowledge on how to interpret and develop Process flow diagrams and piping and
instrumentation diagrams.

6.Fundamental knowldge of refining, gas processing, fertilizers processes.

7.good understanding/practicing how to sizne Plant piping /perform hydraulic calculations for liquid,
gas and tow phase flows.

8.Fundamental knowledge of how to design Heat Exchangers, separators, towers size and specify
Pumps..etc

9.develop high level of practicing process simulation Softwares in process plants/facilities simulation
and design.

10.solid background and good understanding of PSM, and PHA Studies such as
HAZID,HAZOP,SIL,LOPA,Bowtie...etc

11.advanced level in MS -office package (word,powerpoin, excel).
