COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course involves the study of the different electronically-controlled domestic household appliances such as the following but not limited to: electric fans, electric
flat iron and press, automatic rice cooker, oven toaster, coffee maker, washing machine and drier, microwave oven, electronic controlled lightings and home security equipment. It
includes the manufacturer’s procedure in preparing appliances for servicing, systematic procedure in diagnosing faults based on industry standards, repairing of appliances based on
service manual supplied the manufacturer and reassembling and testing repaired appliances according to industry standards.

Lecture assessment may include face-to-face or home-based testing. Formative assessments such as class participation, quizzes and seatwork /exercises will be used to evaluate your

Examinations - There are two majors in- class examinations, a midterm and a final exam that will allow you to demonstrate the knowledge you gained from the course. Exam

you in either before, during or after the discussion.
