Beef chorizo is a flavorful and versatile sausage that can be used in various dishes like tacos, burritos,
breakfast scrambles, and more. Here's a simple recipe to make beef chorizo at home:
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon paprika
Instructions:
In a small bowl, combine the apple cider vinegar, chili powder, paprika, ground cumin, dried oregano,
garlic powder, onion powder, ground coriander, smoked paprika (if using), ground cinnamon (if using),
salt, and pepper. Mix well to form a spice paste.
Add the spice paste to the ground beef and mix thoroughly until the spices are evenly distributed
throughout the meat. You can use your hands or a spoon to mix.
Cover the seasoned ground beef with plastic wrap or transfer it to an airtight container.
Let the mixture rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. You can also
leave it overnight for more intense flavor.
Heat a skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat and add 1-2 tablespoons of vegetable oil.
Once the oil is hot, add the seasoned ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spoon or
spatula.
Cook the beef chorizo, stirring occasionally, until it is browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.
Once cooked, use a slotted spoon to transfer the beef chorizo to a plate lined with paper towels to drain
off any excess grease.
Use the beef chorizo immediately in your favorite dishes, or let it cool completely before storing it in an
airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
