Posting Periods

T Code – MMPV

T code – MMRV – Display Current Posting period

 Are basically which you need to Open every month in order to allow goods movement and
invoice posting
 Restricting to which period u can post
 Period can be a month / specified days ( 4 weeks / 5 weeks / 35 days – decided by FI team)
 Are maintained at Company Code level
 On 1st of every month you need to open the period

2 types

 FI Posting Period – are open for whole year – postings are reversible
 MM Posting Period – are irreversible – You cannot the change the posting period once posting is
done

To Open Period for Feb 2022, follow as given below screens and execute to open the period

T Code – MMSY – Change view of material management view on a Company Code

SE93 – Run the Posting Period
T Code - SM36 – Define Back Job
SE38 – Enter Program name and execute
SM37 – execute – will display all backjobs
