MARKETING ON A SHOESTRING BUDGET

We are one of the lucky University that has given the chance to have a seminar with
Mr. Josiah Go. He is the author of our book in marketing subject entitled “Principles and
practices in Marketing in the Philippine Setting”, he is a successful man in the business
world although he shared a tip that he doesn’t accept himself as a successful man but a
student that keeps on learning, he received a lot of award including the recent award of
being the no. 1 Marketing Author in the Philippines and his book that we’re using is the
best-seller in all marketing books. During the seminar he talked about some cases, one of it
was this, how to start a business without enough money to make it as a capital? He then
shared to us that deficiency of resources is not a hindrance to start a business, we should
use our brain instead and make strategies or plan on how you can have enough resources
and how you can gain customers, don’t limit yourself, putting up a business is risky but the
higher the risk the bigger the reward you’ll get, we have so much capabilities we just need
to believe in ourselves and take the risk, if ever you tried but nothing happen, don’t give up
stand up and try again as long as you can. There’s so many stuff Mr. Go shared to us and all
of it was very helpful for us in case we will put up a business in the future. After his seminar
to us we proceed to the question and answer portion where we are given a chance to ask
him and of course get a solid and evident answer straight from him, some students ask for
more tips to become successful in life and some ask about current issues related to the
business world like the cryptocurrency or most commonly known as the bitcoin, all of that
was satisfyingly answered by Mr. Go, later we then proceed to book signing. Even though
the time wasn’t enough because the seminar all in all just took for about a few hours but
still Mr. Josiah Go inspires and motivate us in all the way he can, we learned so much thing
in his seminar, he’s the one who will I look up with in the business world.
