𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗡𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗼, 𝗭𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 - Capt. Rolly Abaigar, representative of the Philippine

Merchant Marine Academy (PMMA) batch `84 visited the institution to give their heartfelt
pledges and express their appreciation for the hard work, sacrifices, and dedication to the
Corps of midshipmen and their beloved Alma Mater last January 11, 2024.

“Inculcate into your mind that you create your opportunities. Things work out best and make
the best for those who strive.” C/E Grabriel said. Contributions from the alumni were used to
celebrate the academy's many departments' relevant activities. Furthermore, funds were
donated to an alumnus of PMMA for his hip replacement surgery.

The event proved that the camaraderie and the wisdom of the alumni is still there. As said
by Capt. Tacogdoy of batch 1996, “No matter where our voyage across the oceans of life
may take us, our beloved Alma Mater will be the beacon that guides our way home.”
