B. FACILITY

The PMMA Knowledge Center building is located in the western part of the Philippine
Merchant Marine Academy, in close proximity to the Medical Unit and the Training
Center. This two-story building was generously donated by the Associated Marine
Officers' and Seamen's Union of the Philippines (AMOSUP) and boasts a total floor
area of 1,500 square meters. The PMMA Knowledge Center was inaugurated on
November 25, 2021, and features state-of-the-art facilities to cater to the academic
and research needs of the academy's faculty and students.

The PMMA Knowledge Center is a spacious facility that can accommodate up to 300
library users at one time. It is divided into different sections, each serving a specific
purpose and containing books grouped according to their subject matter, genre, or

ground floor, you can find the Faculty Lounge, Student's Reading Area, Circulation,

within the library. The staff at the information desk are trained to provide quick and
