THE 5 CARD YES/NO SPREAD
This is a very cool spread that gives you a bit more information than a
straight yes or no.

The premise is that major arcana and even numbers are a yes. Odd
numbers and court cards are a no. You draw 5 cards which means that
there won’t be a draw.

It’s rare that you will get 5 straight yes or no but if you do then it’s a
definite. If you get 3/2 I would class this as a yes/no but more in the
maybe category.

There are a few anomalies and this is where it comes down to

interpretations. Even though Aces are odd numbers they pretty much
represent a yes (especially the Ace of Pentacles).

When you have your decision I would look at the cards and see if you can
get an interpretation from them.

5. Turn over the Wheel of Fortune so all the cards are facing the same way
6. Shuffle the 8 cards so you no longer know where the Wheel of Fortune is
7. Lay out the cards as follows starting in the yes position dealing clockwise8.
The positioning of the Wheel of Fortune gives you our answer – Yes, Soon, Delay, No

The card next to the Wheel of Fortune is of particular interest but you
should also look at all of the cards to get an overall feeling for the reading.
I don’t use reversals for this reading. If you get a No or Delay you can
look at the cards around to see what the obstacles are and what you need
to do to change that outcome.
If you get a lot of court cards this could indicate that other people will
play a part in the outcome. If there are a lot of major arcana cards this
will tell you that karma is in play.

ANCESTRAL HEALING
WHAT IS ANCESTRAL TRAUMA?
Ancestral trauma is passed down through DNA. These are
hereditary traits that are passed down to us and play a role in our
epigenetics. This means that what we experience in our lives
either through things like diet, medicine, chemical exposure, and
even social interactions can actually turn off or on certain gene
expressions. When we face similar trials in our life as our
ancestors we continue to pass along those DNA sequences… until
finally, we reach an individual who heals their trauma and
changes the physical structure of their DNA.

CHAKRA SPREAD
Chakras are spheres of energy. Our bodies have many 7
chakras; however, when people speak of chakras, they
are usually referring to what are considered the seven
major chakras. Each one of these main chakras is
associated with a color and with various areas of our 6
lives, including physical, psychological, and spiritual.
Each chakra governs many facets, just as any aspect of
astrology or any tarot card can have multiple meanings.
This spread focuses on one set of facets. However, if you
are familiar with chakras and prefer to focus on other 5
facets, use those instead.Ideally, energy should move
freely up and down your chakras, so the equally spaced
line of cards is a good design choice here. When
interpreting this spread, look for a block in the flow of
energy. 4
1, SELF-PRESERVATION (ROOT CHAKRA): Your survival instincts and how you
seek health, prosperity, and security.
2, SELF-GRATIFICATION (SACRAL CHAKRA): How you connect to others through
feeling, desire, sensation, and movement.
3, SELF-DEFINITION (SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA): How you express personal power,
will, autonomy, energy, and spontaneity.
4, SELF-ACCEPTANCE (HEART CHAKRA): Your ability to love deeply, feel
3
compassion, and experience peace and centeredness.
5, SELF-EXPRESSION (THROAT CHAKRA): How you communicate with others and
express yourself creatively in the world.
6, SELF-REFLECTION (BROW OR THIRD EYE CHAKRA): How you see the world,
both physically and intuitively; your ability to see the big picture.
7, SELF-KNOWLEDGE (CROWN CHAKRA): Your ability to know and understand
yourself; your wisdom and spiritual connection. 2

for each partner, which means that the same cards can come up on
both sides of the reading. If two decks are used, then draw two
cards for position 1, one from each deck.
1: The state of the relationship
(you will have two cards in this

2–3: How you think you should feel.
4–5: How you actually feel.
6–7: What you are projecting.
8–11: Advice for improving the relationship.

This is a simple two-column layout, making it

easy to compare your
feelings and experiences. Don’t forget,
though, to read each person’s
line of cards together as well. Comparing two
cards yields plenty of
information, but reading, for example, cards 2,
4, and 6 together will
give a more nuanced picture of person A’s
4 5 experience. Cards 8 and 9 are
meant as advice for person A, while cards 10
and 11 are for person B.

very open and honest about
whatever comes up. My first rule of tarot is if

WILL HE COME BACK?
Many people seek out tarot readers when they are heartbroken or
in crisis. Often their primary romantic relationship has ended.
Because they are still in the midst of raw pain and cannot imagine
their future without their partner just yet, they often want to
know “Will he (or she) come back?” A simple yes/no spread would
answer this, or even a pendulum (which many readers use in these
cases). However, this spread gives a little more. It will answer the
question, but it will give the querent information that they can
use as they move forward, no matter what the

LOOKING FOR LOVE SPREAD
CARDS 1–3: These cards are read together, however the reader
chooses, to answer the question “Is there any sign of a new
romance on the horizon in the three months?” If you don’t have
your own method of reading three cards for a yes/no answer, use
one of the methods described earlier in this section.
Part 2 adds cards A, B, and C onto part 1.
If the answer in part 1 is no, then use this:

“What can I do to invite romance into my life?”
If the answer in part 1 is yes, then use this:

ABUNDANCE PROFILE SPREAD
There is a difference between abundance and money. You may
find that you can have an abundant life without a total focus on
money or that your focus on money is getting in the way of an
abundant life.
1, ATTITUDE ABOUT MONEY: This card shows
the role money plays in
your belief about money and abundance.
2, ATTITUDE ABOUT PROSPERITY: This card
shows the role abundance
plays in your belief about money and
abundance.

3, NEEDS: How do you determine “need”? Are
your needs met? Do
you feel constantly in need? Have you ever
really been in need?
4, WANTS: Do your wants drive you? Do they
inspire you or make
you feel dissatisfied when unmet?

ANSWER THE CALL SPREAD
The Judgment card is about, in part, hearing a calling. It is a
moment when you feel compelled toward something larger than
yourself. These callings can be difficult to respond to, as they can
be powerful but sometimes vague or very different from your
current way of thinking. This spread helps clarify the calling and
gives advice on how to respond to it.

1, CALLING: The nature of the call. This is the heart of the

matter, the 2
focus of change, the major energy being communicated.
2, SPIRITUAL RESPONSE: This is how you are being asked to
respond 3
spiritually to this call. It can show a shift in spiritual beliefs
or
practice.
3, INTELLECTUAL RESPONSE: This is how you are being
asked to
1
respond intellectually to this call. It may be about learning,
thinking, or communicating.
4, EMOTIONAL RESPONSE: This is how you are being asked
4
to respond
emotionally to this call. It can tell you about feelings, or
relationships.
5, PHYSICAL RESPONSE: This is how you are being asked to
respond
5
physically to this call. It can tell you about what you can do
or an
action to take.
OBSERVATIONS

VARIATION: Do this reading with your majors only.

Then shuffle your
Minor Arcana cards, pull a card to go with each of
the majors in
positions 2–5, and interpret them as how each of
the “responses”
will play out in “real life.” That is, how will your life
look in terms
of your everyday experience after you respond to
this call?
