Facebook and Our Fake News Problem

Of course, Facebook should address the problem and take appropriate measures, as they
are the ones who has access on the system. However, Facebook does not have full control over
the internet, especially now that almost all people use the platform. Also, I believe that Facebook
isn’t the only one responsible for what happened, media hackers, political groups, and netizens
that posted and shared it also have responsibility on what happened.

It is a great news that Facebook is taking the issue seriously and had introduced some
kind of caution that helps users easily spot fake new with the partnership with few institutions.
Especially now that there is an upcoming election, this is a great feature on Facebook, because
for sure, there will be fake news spreading again, and wars on the platform.

As one of the users of social media platforms, we should also be responsible on what we
post and share on social media platforms, as it can be one of the causes of fake news, or
misinformation.
