Introduction

Recently, a lot of collapses are observed in individual’s social interactions, relationships,


marriage deals, and raising children. It is believed that domestic violence the individual lived is
one of the causes. Therefore, we undertook this study to investigate domestic violence and if it is
one cause of an individual’s social and psychological life. We asked several questions that helped
us to reach the basic goal before drawing a conclusion. The title of this study is:

“The impact of domestic violence on a person’s social and psychological life.”

The research questions that we attempt to answer to show us the effect of domestic violence on
person’s social and psychological life are the following:
1- What is your gender?
2- How old are you?
3- From whom did you suffer from domestic violence?
4- How does domestic violence affect a person's self-esteem and sense of self-worth?
5- How are your relationships at school?
6- Does experiencing domestic violence increase the risk of depression, anxiety, or PTSD?
7- Does domestic violence lead to social isolation or withdrawal from friends and family?
8- How does domestic violence affect a person's ability to maintain healthy relationships?
9- Does domestic violence impact work performance or school attendance, discipline?
10- Can domestic violence lead to a higher risk of separation or divorce?
11- What are the different forms of domestic violence (physical, emotional, financial) and
how do they contribute to marital discord and dysfunction?
12- How does the experience of domestic violence influence sexual relationships with your
partners?
13- Does experiencing domestic violence affect a person's ability to develop healthy
parenting skills (e.g., emotional regulation, conflict resolution)?
14- How many people around you suffer from domestic violence?
15- The extent to which domestic violence affected the future of abused children in the sense
