i) Responsible for the overall technical operation for the testing laboratory including the
provision of the resources needed to ensure the required quality of laboratory operation.
ii) To assist the Laboratory Director in ensuring all the laboratory personnel involved in
technical operation of laboratory are impartial , free from any undue internal and external
commercial, financial and other pressures and influences that might adversely affect the
quality or their work.
iii) To evaluate on the competence of the Deputy Technical Manager, Laboratory
Supervisor and Tester on their knowledge and skill in performing the job.
iv) To identify training needs for Deputy Technical Manager, Laboratory Supervisor and
Tester.
v) To ensure all laboratory personnel will adhere to good professional practice at all times.
vi) To ensure all the testing equipment in the lab are properly maintained, valid calibration
and fit for intended purposes.

In the absence of TM, the DTM shall be responsible to the tasks. DTM shall also be assigned
related technical responsibilities from time to time, where necessary.
i) To support and work closely with Laboratory Supervisor and Tester in day to day
laboratory operations which include delivering best effort to ensure efficiency and cost
effectiveness.
ii) To manage and maintain new and existing technical documents, records, procedures of
the laboratory accordance to CREaTE Lab policy and accreditation standard.
