It is a pleasure to be able to write a letter of recommendation for Lesly Covarrubias Torres. I

have known Lesly for about a year as a student in Chemistry. During this time, Lesly has
demonstrated to be kind, dedicated, and responsible.

Lesly is a diligent and motivated student. She has enrolled in academic classes and has set her goal
in obtaining a college education. Lesly is not easily discouraged by the challenges she encounters in
her academics but rather, she is very persistent in ensuring that she succeeds. While in Chemistry,
she was actively involved in the learning process by asking questions and taking notes. She took
advantage of every opportunity that helped her improve her grade such as doing test corrections and
redoing low scoring assignments. Lesly’s dedication and persistence has allowed her to be successful
in high school and will become a cornerstone for her future success in college.

In addition, Lesly is a responsible student who strives to maximize her full potential. She has been part
of AVID for four years and has learned to effectively communicate and collaborate well with others.
Lesly has learned the intricacies of time management and is able to successfully balance her academics
with her part-time job as a cafeteria worker and volunteering over 250 hours of community service.
Lesly is a kind individual who likes to help others without expecting anything in return.

Lesly is interested in pursuing a career in education. She aims to earn a bachelor’s degree in psychology
to become a teacher or a school counselor. If given the opportunity and with the help of scholarships,
Lesly will be one step closer to achieving her dreams.

Lesly has taken great responsibility for her own education and works hard to achieve her personal goals.
