Division Memorandum
No. _____, Series 2023

QUARTER ONE AND TWO DAILY LESSON PLAN WRITERS FOR THE
REGULAR SCIENCE CURRICULUM, SPECIAL SCIENCE ELEMENTARY
SCHOOL (SSES) AND SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY AND ENGINEERING (STE),
SY 2023-2024

TO: All Public Schools District Supervisors

Concerned Elementary School Principals and Teachers

1. It is a perennial challenge to all science teachers on how to ease

themselves from the burden of writing Daily Lesson Plans (DLPs). Many
encountered numerous difficulties in looking references. May it be in the
print materials or from the internet which sometimes hindered by the
internet connectivity each geographical locations are experiencing. Added to
it are the challenges meet in choosing appropriate pedagogical tools which
would fit the kind of learner science teachers are handling.

2. In order for the science teachers to focus on classroom management,

ensure efficient use of instructional time and foster subject matter expertise,
a unified Daily Lesson Plan would liberate them from the burden of writing
DLP.

3. A team of Quarter One and Two DLP writers are to be organized and task to
write Daily Lesson Plans based on the existing competencies recommended by DepEd
or made available momentarily. These competencies will be unpacked into lessons
for daily instructional purposes and as deemed necessary. Please see attach “Annex
A”.

4. Travel and incidental expenses relative to the above-stated activity will

be charged against MOOE, LGU, fund (if any), or SEF. These expenses will
still be subjected to the usual accounting, auditing rules and regulations.

5. Education Program Supervisor (EPS), School Heads and writers who

will be taking part of the Modules, DLPs, ScieLAS and IP6 signing during
Saturdays, Sundays or during Holidays are entitled to Compensatory
Time-Off (CTO).

6. Immediate dissemination of this memorandum is enjoined.
