A. INTRODUCTION:
1. Greeting:

Hello everyone, as a representative of group 1, I would like to thank the teacher

and all of you who are present to attend this presentation. I guess that many of you
here must have the same trouble I have when having to choose how and where to
travel when on holiday or every weekend. Through our group's topic: "A different kind
of holiday", we hope to give you a few suggestions about some places and activities
for your upcoming holiday.

2. Introducing the group’s members:

There are seven people in my group, include: Leader is Mai Anh, secretary is
Ngoc Anh, and other members Quynh Anh, Kim Dung, Manh Cuong, Tran Chieu and
The Cuong.

3. Introducing the group's topic:

One of the hardest parts about planning a holiday is deciding not only which
travel destination you should visit but also what type of holiday you want to have. If
you can understand what type of holiday you want, you can easily decide on the best
travel destination to visit. There are many other factors that determine what type of
holiday you choose including your travel budget and the best time of year you want to
go on holiday. However, if you do your research on a location and understand the
different types of holidays that are available you can pick a travel destination that
matches the exact holiday you want to have. From adventure sports holidays to
peaceful relaxation holidays, from cultural and historical holidays to environmental
and sustainable holidays, each kind of holiday offers a unique and different
experience. In this discussion, we will explore and discuss a number of different types
of holidays, exploring their unique characteristics and the benefits they offer travelers.
Let’s start exploring the diverse world of holidays!

4. Outlining the presentation:

There are three main parts in our presentation. The first is the introduction.
The second is the definition of holiday and the different types of holidays. And the
final past is the conclusion.

B. BODY:

I. Definition of Holiday:

A holiday is a day or other period of time set aside for festivals or recreation.
Public holidays are set by public authorities and vary by state or region. Religious
holidays are set by religious organizations for their members and are often also
observed as public holidays in religious majority countries. Some religious holidays,
such as Christmas, have become secularized by part or all of those who observe them.
In addition to secularization, many holidays have become commercialized due to the
growth of industry.
Holidays can be thematic, celebrating or commemorating particular groups,
events, or ideas, or non-thematic, days of rest that do not have any particular meaning.

A different kind of holiday:

1. Family Holiday:

These days, time with family is more precious than ever. This is why spending
time on a family holiday in nature becomes an attractive idea for many people. And
among the peaceful destinations close to nature, Ho Dong Do in Soc Son is a perfect
choice.
Stepping into Ho Dong Do, you will be immersed in the vast space of the clear
blue lake, surrounded by green mountains instead of the crowded city scene. The
feeling of peace and quiet will make the whole family relax and immers themselves in
the rich nature.
For accommodation, families can rent tents to suit the number of members,
from tents for 2 people to tents for up to 20 people. In addition, Ho Dong Do also
provides high-class resort services from luxury resorts to private villas, guaranteed to
satisfy all your family's preferences and needs. This place provides a variety of
services for the whole family such as tent rental to experience the feeling of living
close to nature, BBQ charcoal grills to organize fun outdoor parties, and rental of
outdoor furniture, SUP boats, kayaks, sailboats to explore the lake, and even rent
fishing rods for free fishing in the lake.
Every family member can participate in fun activities such as boating, walking
around the lake to admire the scenery, building a campfire and BBQ, fishing or
simply renting a speaker and singing together all day, creating memorable
moments together.
With the above mentioned, I believe that a trip to Dong Do Lake will be a great
choice for family's holiday, not only because it is convenient but also because of
the rich activities it provides the whole family.

2. Skiing and snowboarding Holiday:

Ski holidays are a popular type of winter tourism, where visitors have the
opportunity to experience fun on the snow.Usually this vacation will take place in
winter or months with enough snow for skiing. However, for the best experience,
choose times when snow conditions are stable and safe.
During a skiing vacation, there are many fun activities you can participate in.
First is skiing, you can try skiing on slopes or professional skiing areas. Second, you
can also join your family or friends in a game of building a snow city, making
snowflakes or even organizing a ski race. Third, you can participate in other activities
such as skiing, ice skating, or sledding.
There are many ideal locations for a skiing holiday. Some popular locations are
snow-capped mountain areas such as Aspen in Colorado, Chamonix in France,
Zermatt in Switzerland, and Niseko in Japan. These locations offer professional ski
stations, beautiful scenery and good facilities for you to enjoy your vacation
comfortably and safely.
Before starting your ski trip, there are a few things to keep in mind. Make sure
to bring warm pants, gloves, and protective eyewear. Check the weather forecast and
snow conditions to ensure safety and an enjoyable experience. If you are a beginner, it
is recommended to take a course from a professional instructor.
Ski holidays offer many benefits. It allows you to have fun in the snow and
enjoy the beauty of winter. This is also a great way to stay active and improve your
fitness. Time spent with family and friends on the slopes creates lifelong memories.

3. Party Holiday:

When summer comes, the weather starts to get hot, signaling that a summer
vacation is coming. There will be many interesting tourist attractions and destinations
for us to organize party holidays. Cua Lo Nghe An Beach is also a gathering place for
many entertainment and relaxation activities such as jet skiing, hot air balloon flying,
walking along the beach, stargazing on the beach, squid fishing in basket boats at night
and many other activities.
In Nghe An, every summer at Cua Lo beach, there will be a party festival
organized by Bia Huda. Summer is the time when many people travel and relax. The
festival takes place every July for 10 days and has many activities organized.
First are the parties and music held around the beach. Stretching along
beautifully decorated beaches, along with food stalls with many delicious dishes. On
the night of the 3rd and 4th, there will be a concert with many famous singers who will
enjoy this wonderful holiday with tourists. Next are sports matches such as boat
racing, football, volleyball, kite flying divided into teams, everyone will carefully
participate before the festival. There will also be beautiful photography locations and

resorts. When participating in this festival, everyone will experience entertaining
games and receive attractive gifts sponsored by Huda Beer.
To fully participate in the festival, everyone needs to prepare enough luggage
and book tickets before the festival. Because if you are not prepared, participating in
the festival will be very difficult.
Participating in the festival will help us become comfortable and happy, eat
delicious food and have beautiful scenery. This creates conditions for visitors to enjoy
exciting moments of relaxation and entertainment at Cua Lo beach - Nghe An.

4. Beach Holiday:

A beach vacation is a relaxing and exploratory journey, taking us away from the
pressures of daily life to enjoy the vast blue sea.
Destinations like the Maldives, with its white sandy beaches and overwater
bungalows, or Phuket in Thailand, combining stunning beaches with vibrant nightlife,
are ideal spots for a beach vacation.
Typically, these vacations take place in the summer months, from June to
September, when the weather is warm, and the sea becomes expansive. Relaxing on
the beach with the soothing sound of waves and warm sunshine, surfing, kayaking, or
exploring small islands and coral reefs are activities that cannot be overlooked. You
can play volleyball with your friends or relatives on the beach and take a walk together
at sunset. At night you can camp together, sing, and do what you like.
However, before embarking on the journey, it is crucial to check the weather
forecast and avoid periods when storms may occur. Additionally, understanding the
local culture will help you fully enjoy the experience.
A beach vacation not only provides entertainment but also helps reduce stress,
enhance mental health, and create memorable experiences. After the trip, you will
return to daily life with a refreshed and energized soul, appreciating the benefits that
days at the beach have brought.

5. Adventure Holiday:

When it comes to different types of holidays, we cannot overlook the presence

of adventure holidays. One of the challenging tourist destinations in Vietnam but
eagerly sought after by many is the summit of Fansipan – the mountain peak dubbed
the "roof of Indochina".
From April to October is the most suitable time to conquer Fansipan.
Throughout the mountain climbing journey, you will pass through breathtaking scenes
of the Northwest mountainous forests. With an altitude of up to 3,143 meters above
sea level, Fansipan is a beautiful cloud-hunting paradise, with a mild and cool climate
all year round. In the cold winter, there is even snow here.

 Unmissable activities when visiting Fansipan Legend include experiencing the
cable car system that holds a world record, checking in at the Fansipan flagpole,
admiring the tallest Buddha statue in Vietnam, or exploring Bich Van Zen Monastery,
among others. When visiting Fansipan, tourists should prepare warm clothing such as
thick jackets, raincoats, gloves, and boots. Additionally, when traveling by cable car
on the summit of Fansipan, you should pay attention to the following points to have
the best journey: appropriate attire, medicine, and cash.
Mountain climbing is not only a thrilling sports activity but also brings many
outstanding benefits for both physical and mental health. Especially when visiting
Fansipan, we also breathe in fresh air, admire majestic natural landscapes, and enjoy
interesting experiences about the culture and people here.

6. City Break Holiday:

Da Lat - The place is known as the "City of Thousands of Flowers", attracting

tourists with its poetic and romantic beauty. If you are planning to travel to Da Lat,
below will give you some suggestions to prepare well for your trip.
The most beautiful time to visit Da Lat is in late fall, or early winter, and lasts
through spring, because at this time the city is in the dry season, allowing you to enjoy
your trip. If you love this radiant flower, don't forget to open your Da Lat travel guide
and plan your trip to Da Lat during this time.
In Da Lat, there are many famous places, you can freely choose such as Xuan
Huong Lake, Lam Vien Square, Con Ga church, Da Lat night market, Love Valley,
Suoi Vang lake,... Coming to Da Lat, there are activities such as camping, going to the
night market, taking photos in the garden, hunting clouds,...
Some things to note when traveling to Da Lat: The weather in Da Lat can
change suddenly and in the evening it gets quite cold, you should bring warm clothes,
scarves, hats, and umbrellas to avoid getting sick. When traveling far from the city,
there will be difficult passes, so you need to be careful when driving. Before buying
goods, eating, or drinking, you should check the prices first to avoid price gouging.
Traveling to Da Lat will bring you many benefits, it will give you a peaceful
space and enjoy the poetic beauty here.

7. Best Friend Holiday:

Last summer, I had a wonderful vacation with my best friend, Minh Trang. We
traveled to Da Lat together for 4 days and 3 nights.
From the beginning of the year, we planned this trip. Together, we learned
about famous tourist destinations in Da Lat, booked air tickets and hotels, and made
specific schedules for each day.

 The flight to Da Lat only takes about 2 hours. When we arrived, we felt the cool
and fresh air completely different from Hanoi. We checked into the hotel and began
our journey to explore this beautiful city.
During our 4 days in Da Lat, we visited many famous places, such as Xuan
Huong Lake, Love Valley, Mong Mo Hill, Dalat Flower Garden,... We also took a
walk on the pine-lined streets and enjoyed Da Lat's specialty dishes, such as grilled
rice paper, shumai bread,...
There are many beautiful memories from this trip that I will never forget. We
walked together in the rain, took beautiful photos together, talked together, and shared
happy and sad stories about life.
The trip to Da Lat helped us become closer, understand each other better, and
create more beautiful memories together. We all felt very happy and satisfied with this
trip. The vacation with my best friend was a wonderful experience that I will never
forget. It was a time when we could relax, have fun, and enjoy happy moments
together.

C. Conclusion
You now have a solid idea of different holiday types that you can plan your trip
around so if you were unsure of your travel preferences and didn’t know what type of
holiday you wanted to experience, you now have a solid idea in place. Everyone wants
to live their own lives and with that comes their own travel preferences and holiday
experiences that they want to have. If you are traveling with a large group or family,
you can use this discussion to help decide a type of holiday that everyone wants,
allowing you to visit new destinations and countries that offer a bit of everything.
From vacations that offer adventure and challenge to vacations that provide
opportunities for relaxation and recovery, from vacations that offer exploration and
