 Foreword

We offer praise and gratitude to the presence of Allah SWT. We convey our prayers and
greetings to the great Prophet Muhammad SAW, along with his family, friends and followers. I
would also like to thank Allah SWT because with His permission, I was able to complete the
preparation of this portfolio well. Thank-you note also submitted to Sir bagus Sumirat s.p.d

Writer too I would like to thank the principal and Mr Suhud Alamsyah, S.Pd as my supervising
teacher and best friend Who has provided time, direction and guidance to the author during the
process of writing this thesis.

In this Portfolio report we will discuss the end of year holiday to the Princess beach . How.

However, we will only discuss the things mentioned above. .

We realize that this arrangement is still far from perfect. However, we hope that this
portfolio can be useful for me and other people. Therefore, we really hope for constructive
suggestions and criticism from Mr Suhud, S.Pd as the B.English subject teacher. Thank you,

 Chapter 1 Introduction

Definition

A type of writing that focuses on detailed explanations of the physical, visual, or sensory
characteristics of a subject. The main purpose of descriptive text is to help readers form a clear
and
vivid picture in their minds about the object being described.

Characteristics of Description Text

Rich Details: Description text always contains a lot of rich and specific details. This helps
readers
imagine the object or situation clearly.

1. Descriptive Language
The author uses rich, descriptive, and imaginative language to explain the subject in detail.
2. Using the Five Senses
Descriptive texts often rely on the senses of sight, hearing, smell, touch, and feeling to bring
sensory experiences to readers
3. Logical Sequence
Descriptions are usually arranged in a logical order, from the main characteristics to the finer
details.

Structure

Identification; is the introduction or general description of the object or topic to be discussed.

Description; is a section that explains in detail about the object that has been introduced in the
identification section. This explanation can be in the form of characteristics, appearance,
quantity, properties, and so on.

 Chapter 2 Definition

Rachel Carson (1907: 1964) explain that descriptive text describes an

object through words. The objects depicted can be people, objects, places, events, or
others.

Walt Whitman(1819:1892) states that descriptive text means text that describes objects

according to their
actual conditions so that readers can see, hear, feel or smell the objects depicted.

Jacques Cousteau (1910:25)

The beach is a transitional area between land and sea consisting of sand, pebbles or small

rocks that stretch along the edge of the sea. According to geographers, the coast is a zone

that continues to change due to natural processes such as waves, currents and wind.

 Chapter 3 Explanation of Place Text Description

This year-end school holiday was truly a very precious moment for me and our group of

friends. I chose to go on holiday to Putri Beach, precisely in Karawang Regency. This beach

is 70 km from the center of Karawang. The location is right next to Tanjung Pakis.This year-

end school holiday was truly a very precious moment for me and our group of friends. I

chose to go on holiday to Putri Beach, precisely in Karawang Regency. This beach is 70 km

from the center of Karawang. The location is right next to Tanjung Pakis.

We left for Putri Beach on November 18 2023, from our house we left at 10 am. We went

together with our group, gathered at Zidan's house at around 10:30 we started leaving,

using our own private vehicles, when we arrived At Putri Beach, lots of visitors come there.

Most visitors are family groups and young couples using private vehicles such as cars and

motorbikes. There there were tickets distributed to enter the beach, and after we were at

the beach we looked for a relaxing place to rest there. Before doing activities on the beach,

our daughters ate together and gathered at a bench, and enjoyed the cool beauty of nature,

and after that we played a game of fortification which comes from the Betawi area. Here

we preserve these traditional games on Putri Beach, with lots of fun with friends.

And after that we started to get very bored playing this traditional game, until finally we

together sang a song entitled "Love on the Beach in Bali". With a friend who played the

guitar, this song was very impressive if sung on a beach.

 Chapter 4 Conclusion of Visit

This end of year holiday was truly a very valuable moment for me and my group of friends,
because we learned a lot about togetherness so that this holiday was not just about having
fun individually, but also at the same time. it's time to learn about mutual respect and care
for each other.

A visit to the beach provides a refreshing and relaxing experience. The sound of the waves,
white sand and panoramic sea views create a calm atmosphere. Activities such as
sunbathing, swimming and playing in the sand can provide pleasure for visitors. Apart from
that, the beach is also a place to enjoy natural beauty and socialize with family or friends.

And the atmosphere with friends on the beach creates happy memories. Laughter, casual
conversation, and joint activities such as playing beach volleyball or having a picnic add
warmth to the moment. The beach is an ideal place to strengthen bonds of friendship while
enjoying natural beauty and fun activities together.
