First of all, thanks to Allah SWT because of the help of Allah, writer finished
writing the paper entitled “Descriptive Text” right in the calculated time.

The purpose in writing this paper is to fulfill the assignment that given by Mr.
Ade Andra Riyanto S.pd, MA as English course lecturer.

in arranging this paper, the writer trully get lots challenges and obstructions but
with help of many indiviuals, those obstructions could passed. Writer also realized
there are still many mistakes in process of writing this paper.

Because of that, the writer says thank you to all individuals who helps in the
process of writing this paper. hopefully Allah replies all helps and bless you
all.the writer realized that this paper still imperfect in arrangment and the content.

PENDAHULUAN

1.1 Latar Belakang

Description is a rule of data processing efforts into something that can be
stated clearly and precisely with the aim that it can be understood by people who
do not directly experience it themselves. In science, a description is needed so that
researchers do not forget their experiences and so that these experiences can be
compared with the experiences of other researchers. So that it is easy to check and
control the description.
In general, descriptions define something, what it looks like, how it sounds,
how it feels, and so on. Detailed descriptions are created and used in the
disciplines as engineering terms. When the data collected, description, analysis,
and conclusions are presented in numbers, this is called quantitative research. On
the other hand, if the data, description, and analysis of the conclusions are
presented in words, it is called qualitative research.

PEMBAHASAN

2.1 Descriptive Text

Deskriptive text is a text wich says what a person or a thing is like. Its
purpose is to describe and reveal a particular person, place, or thing. In a
broad sense, description, as explained by ane (200:352), is defines like in the
following sentense.
Description is about sensory experience how something looks, sound,
testes, mostly it is about visual expriences, but description also deals with
other kinds of perception.
But in particular, the descriptive text is a text which says what a person or
thing is like. Its purpose is to describe and reveal a particular person, place or
thing.
So, it can be said that this describetive text is a text that explains about
whether a person or an object is like, whether its form, its properties, its
amount and others.
the purpose of the describe text is clear, that is to describe, represent or
reaveal a person or an object, either abtract or concorate.
2.2 Generic Structure Of Descriptive Text
a. Identification : contains the introductions of a person,place,animal or
object will be describe
b. Describe : animal,things,placr or person by decribing its
feature,form,colours, or anything related to what the writter describe

2.3 Purpose Of Descriptive Text

a. To describe person, thing or place in specific.
b. To describe a particular person, thing or place .

2.4 Languange Teature Of Descriptive Text

a. Specific participan
Has a certain object, is not common and unique (only one). For example :
Bandengan Beach, My House, Borobudur Tample, Uncle Jim.
b. The Us Of Adjective
An adjective to clarify the noun, for example : a beautiful beach, a
handsome man, the famous place in jepara, etc,
c. The Us Of Simple Pressentece
 The sentense pattern used simple present because it tells the fact of the
object describe
d. Action Verb
Verb that show an activity (for example, run, sleep, walk, cut, etc…)

2.5 For Example :

Tete Batu Village

According to the profile of Tetebatu Village (2016), Tetebatu Village is a

one of the villages in the Sikur District, Sikur Regency, East Lombok, West Nusa
Tenggara Province and directly adjacent to it with the Mount Rinjani National
Park area (for the next abbreviated TNGR). Judging from the geographical
location of the area, Tetebatu Village located at an altitude of 700/9000 masl
with a hilly topography used for rice fields, plantations and settlements
inhabitant. The average rainfall is 4000 mm/year with a total rainfall of 6 month
and the average daily temperature is 250 C.

Administratively, Desa Tetebatu consists of 5 Hamlets, and 40 RT, namely:

Dusun Tetebatu (12 RT), Orong Gerisak (8 RT), Lingkung Daye (5 RT),
Lingkung Lauk (9 RT) and Kembang Sari (6 RT). The total population in
Tetebatu Village is 8.596 people, with a total of 2.635 families, consisting of
over 4.009 men and 4.587 women. Village area Tetebatu is about 8.098,8 Ha.
With regional boundaries as follows: North: Sweet Jeruk Village and TNGR
South : South Tetebatu Village East : Yellow Flower and Sweet Orange Village
West : South Tetebatu Village The distance of Tetebatu Village from the sub-
district capital is about 14 km It takes about 30 minutes by motorized vehicle.
Meanwhile, from the district capital of Tetebatu Village, it is about 24 km and is
46 km from the provincial capital with a travel time of approx 2 hours. To reach
this village, you can use a motorized vehicle as well as public transportation.

Tetebatu Village is one of the tourist villages in Indonesia Eas Lombok

Regency. This is because Tetebatu Village has a lot of natural and cultural
potential that can be used as a destination and tourist attractions. The natural
potential of Tetebatu Village which can be tourist destinations include rice fields,
forest areas, waterfalls, traditional coffee processing, and hilly areas. Location of
the village directly adjacent to TNGR is also a natural potential that support
Tetebatu Village to become a tourist village and become a destination the target
of local and foreign tourists to visit the village the. In addition to natural
potential, cultural potential that remains sustainable in the village. Tetebatu is
also a tourist attraction that tourists can enjoy. The cultural potential is in the
form of dances, traditional arts such as gendang beleq and peresean, as well as
traditional ceremonies such as thanksgiving ceremonies dam or called in the
Sasak language, namely Nyelamet Pengmpel. Therefore, if you visit the Tetebatu
Tourism Village, tourists will get a complete tour package. Furthermore, as
accommodation To support tourism in Tetebatu Village, many jasmine hotels
have been built, home stays and restaurants (RIPPDA, 2017).
