carbon comes from MEP equipment in new commercial buildings.

• Analysis from 180 mechanical, electrical and public health products

from various databases showed that the product stage (A1–A3)

• Lighting accounts for: 15% of global electricity consumption, and

5% of worldwide greenhouse gas emissions

• To address the mismatch between volume of EPDs and SKUs:

consumption and emissions, so it demands verified data from the supply chain.

construction industry regulations and commercial certifications.

EU’s draft Construction Product Regulation requires GWP data from EPDs One Click LCA’s 2018 study identified 91 certifications using EPDs

• Internal demand: Depending on the company, there may be a sustainability strategy that puts
demands on themselves to be proactive about understanding and improving their impact.
Luminaire manufactuers are innovators and more and more today, the innovations in new

• Energy consumption: Operational energy use in B6 can be >90% of the total GWP

• Electronics: LEDs, PCBs, Batteries, Drivers

• Fixture materials: Metals (e.g., Aluminium, Stainless Steel), Plastics

• Increased innovation, e.g., performance optimisation

• Reduce: Less electronics, lighter housing, more efficient

packaging

• Reuse: Modular designs that allow reuse/refurbishing of

others, e.g., batteries

• Recycle: Use of secondary materials as well as ensuring

recyclability of materials

 EPD Verification & Publishment

EPDs generated with One Click LCA end-to-end EPD generators can be
directly submitted from the software to EPD Hub's portal and will be
handled as follows:

● First three (3) EPDs generated are manually verified by an EPD Hub
approved verifier.
● All subsequent EPDs generated are automatically verified.
● Sample verification will be conducted, and random EPDs from the
generated list will be manually reviewed.
