This group deals with the preparation and evaluation of research proposals and instruments in-
cluding the collection, compilation, analysis and interpretation of data; and the presentation of research
results. It includes those two plan, direct and do this and closely related work.

UNIVERSITY RESEARCH ASSOCIATE I. GRADE 12
Render Assistance in the collection, completion and processing of data as well as in the conduct of con-

Education: AB or BS degree that is relevant to the mature of the work in the position.

Renders assistance in data collection including the construction of research instruments, processing,

Undertakes the preparation and evaluation of research proposals instrument the collection, analysis

Supervises data collection in the field and prepares/consolidates data needed for the annual and
other periodic reports, committee and external reviews, etc.

UNIVERSITY RESEARCH ASSOCIATE II. GRADE 18
Develops case studies, writes research reports including interpretation and presentation of data: and
prepares training programs.
Conducts organization and management studies for specific national government agencies and corpora-
tion and formulates recommendation to improve organizational structures, method and procedures and
management operations.
Undertakes research projects either as a project leader or assistant leader, from the preparation of re-
search proposal, design to analysis, and write-up of research report.
Undertakes researches necessary for development of position papers or issues of public policies, train-
ing programs or managerial problem.
May act as a directing staff/resource person in training programs and as editors of unit/college publica-
tion.

Supervises and participates in the conduct of research programs/projects and activities in his subject
field as well as in organizational and management studies for specific agencies.
Analyzes data from research reports and transforms these into useful information for management
planning and other purposes.
Evaluates research projects and curriculum projects materials and submits corresponding reports.
Acts as directing staff/resource person in training programs and as editor of unit/ college publication.

Supervises the conduct of research programs/projects and activities in his subject field as well as in or-
ganization and management studies for specific agencies.
Defines standards and criteria for the conduct of researches in the college/institution: develops methods
and procedures in the proper management of research projects and identifies priority areas for re-
search.
Initiates and supervises preparation of research reports and document and evaluate employee perfor-
mance.

Supervises and directs the conduct and design or research programs/projects and activities in his sub-
ject field as well as in the organization and management studies for specific agencies.
Prioritizes areas for research and recommends research projects that may be implemented in the col-
lege/institution subject to the policies and standards of the University.
Approves, standards and criteria used in the conduct of researches in the proper management of re-
search projects.
Supervises the monitoring, coordination and evaluation of ongoing research projects in the college/in-
stitution to determine their effectiveness in relation to the overall programs of the University.
Reviews research reports, accomplishment reports and other reports on the project and evaluates em-
ployee performance.
Present/disseminates research results through publications, meetings, seminars and other means.

Renders technical and administrative services in the conduct/implementation of training services in the
courses/programs as well in the production of training and extension materials.
Compiles literature and other information materials needed for training extension course program pro-
posals and sends information to prospective training participant course offerings and projects.

LIBRARY SERVICE GROUP
This group deals with cataloging and classifying books and indexing of periodicals according to
generally accepted systems: advising student and faculty materials available for subjects under research;
and conducting physical inventory of library stocks and records. It includes those who plan, direct and do
this and closely related.

COLLEGE LIBRARIAN II. GRADE 15
Records and label current acquisitions; catalog and classification books/periodicals; prepares bibliogra-
phies and furnishes titles of reading materials and clip published items which might be interest to
agency personnel.
Advises student on materials available for subjects under research and maintains discipline in the li-
brary.
Takes physical inventory of library stocks, compiles statistics and maintains records.

COLLEGE LIBRARIAN III. GRADE 18
Assist the supervisor in formulating policies and in setting up of library rules and regulation as well as in
planning and preparing work assignments and schedule.
Supervises and participates in the preparation of library materials for circulation and in assisting readers

Gives library lesson and trains assistants; maintain discipline in the library and handles correspondence
and prepares reports.

Assists the Chief Librarians in the administration and direction of the college library; formulate library

compilation of statistics and takes physical inventory.
Conducts training institutes for library assistants and maintains discipline in the Library.

DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT OFFICER I. GRADE 11
Prepares initial draft of policy studies for projects and assists in formulating development plans and pro-
grams.

other measures on management, availability and programming of manpower resources, etc.
Renders technical assistance on policy/program formulation and organization and management for spe-

MUSEUM RESEARCH SERVICE GROUP
This group deals with collection, identifying, classifying, accessioning and cataloging botanical, zo-
ological, anthropological or paleontological specimens. The group work also includes conducting re-
searches on such specialized fields of work and the mounting, preserving and proper displaying of collec-
tions. It includes those who plan, direct and do this and closely related work.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collects, identifies and classifies botanic, zoological, anthropological or paleontological specimens and
conducts special researcher in such fields.
Mounts, preserves and accessions specimens collected and/or insects and investigates historical places
and landmarks for the purposed of collecting and interpreting data on significant past present events.
Gives information and lecture on history to the students and takes charge of the storage and safekeep-
ing of specimens collected.

ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE GROUP
This group deals with the planning, direction and supervision or personnel admiration: budget
preparation and control; and such general services as supply and records management; general clerical;
janitorial security; transportation; property utilization; and building maintenance and repair which are
necessary for the operation of the University. It includes those who plan, direct and do this closely re-
lated work.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Drafts and prepares routine correspondence, memorandum and circulation for signature of the Dean or
Director.
Assists the Dean or Director or head of an office in the implementation of prescribed University, college
or unit wide administrative procedures including national government procedures and directives; and
security measures for the safety of physical properties and personnel.
Attends to visitors, receives telephone calls and gives due course to requests or message of refers caller
to official concerned, which include arrangement for meetings, conferences, seminars, field trip and
other similar activities.
Assists the head of the office in the preparation of the budget and keeps track of allotment balance vis-
a-vis expenditures; supervises the preparation of financial statement.
Determines the need of the office and prepares jobs order and requisitions for supplies and equipment,
and may maintain files or supervisors or for the unit.

Reviews the work of legal officers/assistance and aides performing varied legal counseling work on the

and rulings and decisions on administrative cases for validity and sufficiency.

Assists the chief legal officer in coordinating and supervising the work of the staff of the University.
Assists in drafting or personally drafts treaties, agreements, executive and administrative orders, procla-

Supervises and participates in the conduct of investigation or hearing of serious administrative cases or
infractions of laws, rules and regulations.
Reviews the work, rulings and decisions of lower legal officers and may appear in courts of administra-
tive bodies in behalf of office head.

Advises University President and officials on legal matters affecting policies, enforcement and adminis-
tration of the laws, international relations, and drafting of treaties and agreements.

Conducts hearing on cases arising for violation of laws, office rules and regulations against officials or
private parties and prepares decisions, rulings or opinions on those cases.
Assists in the preparation of legislation for the University and directs the preparation of office orders,
circulars or memoranda.
Represent the University head in any case before a judicial or administrative body and supervises the le-

Interviews prospective residents of the dormitory and conducts orientation program with the residents
at the beginning of the semester.
Plans, assigns and coordinates domestic and those house cleaning services and confers with dormitory
staff on operating problems such as repairs, alternations, decorations, painting and cleaning.
Coordinates the activities of residents and acts as adviser to dormitory associations; and confer with and
advises students about individual adjustment and study problem.

Formulates and implements plans/program for residence halls and its residents in accordance with Uni-
versity policies and coordinates with the Vice-Chancellor for student Affairs on matter related to aca-
demic, social, cultural and other activities of resident students.
Conducts administrative investigations related to infraction of rules and regulations and refers cases to
higher authorities concerned.
Supervises collection of room rentals and issues reminders to residential who fail to pay within the des-
ignated period.
Attends to the physical maintenance of the building and finds ways to improve the dormitory’s facilities.
Exercises general supervision over administrative matters like personnel action, budget proposals, requi-
sition of equipment, supplies and materials, etc.

Perform routine, repetitive cleaning and light housekeeping task within assigned areas of dormitory
building, including bedrooms, kitchen, dining room, Sala, library, etc.
Operates light cleaning equipment such as floor polisher, vacuum cleaner, etc. and makes minor adjust-
ments and repairs on cleaning equipment.
Runs errands and maintains inventory of blankets, linens, cleaning agents and other supplier.

Supervises the work of the helpers to ensure the cleanliness of the dormitory room.
Reports any damage to dormitory equipment and facilities and facilities to the dormitory and may per-

ment and building fixture and utilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises the registration and admission of deserving students and sees to the implementation of dor-
mitory rules and regulation.
Interviews, orients and counsels newly admitted dormitory residents and recommends the dismissal of
those “problem” residents.
Assigns and instructs staff in answering correspondence from prospective residents; in giving out room
assignments; and I making deposits of rental fees to the University Cashier.
Investigates and settles complaints; takes charge of and in making deposits of rental fees to the Univer-
sity Cashier.
Recommends policies to be formulated on the management of the dormitory and assists the Dormitory
Manager in the preparation of periodic reports required by the central administration officials and Uni-
versity Auditor.
