ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
I take the opportunity to offer sincere heart felt , everlasting gratitude to
my guide Mrs. Harshi Madubashini lecture in Learning Skills for her valuable
suggestions & kind support in completion of this Report in very successful manner.
And also, I would like to thank you for the authors who wrote the references for
writing this report and everyone who published the information.
Finally, I wish to thank my parents & friends for their support & encouragement
throughout completion of this report.

Green Building expands and complements the building design concerns of
economy, utility, durability and comfort. A green building is one which uses less water,
optimizes energy efficiency, conserves natural resources, generates less waste and
provides healthier space for occupants as compared to conventional building. This will be
beneficial for the people who are really conscious about the environmental impact of the
buildings and believe in energy conservation.
Green Buildings are designed to reduce the overall impact on human health and
the natural environment by the following ways:
Using energy, water and other resources efficiently
By reducing waste, pollution and environmental degradation
(Munjal et al.)

A Green Building, also known as a sustainable
building refers to a structure and using process that is
environmentally responsible and resource efficient
throughout a building's life-cycle from siting to design,
construction, operation, maintenance, renovation, and
demolition (Kashyap,2008).

There are a number of ways to make a green building.
These include:
Homes
Schools
Commercial Buildings
Laboratories
Health Facilities…..

The aim of the report was to understand, plan and
design Green Building that has been achieved by studying different green
technologies for buildings, by planning and designing building layout,
development of plan, elevation, sections etc. Various Green technologies and
materials proposed with their feasibility studied in this report.
